These are so true. I recently onboarded a new programmer on one of my side projects, and the complexity of the workflow changed an incredible amount. Being solo is hard, but cutting out the communication overhead has extreme benefits.

This is cool and relatable. I kinda needed an argument to not have friends :)

Another great video! Being a solo indie game dev in 2024 is amazing, definitely my favorite job I've had. It's good in everyway except for income and financial stability. Being your own boss, no VC meetings, having total control over your game instead of like, being the 3rd dude who designs hair physics in a $70 million dollar budget AAA, is vastly rewarding. If I could only win the lottery I'd be totally happy being a solo dev for life.

I just dont like to make the 3d models, rigs and animations, Ill have to partner up this part, but for other things (besides be your first game and you have no extra money) it is amazing be a solo dev
