Hi there! Elizabeth from Seven Springs Farm Supply here - thank you SO much for the link to our fiber rods. You essentially helped us almost sell out of them which is why we had to take them off our website to ensure we didn't over sell them (sometimes inventory tracking can be off). We do still have some in stock for anyone wishing to purchase. If you do wish to purchase the fiber rods, just give us a call. We are still accepting online orders as well for anything we have listed there. Happy gardening!!

Could be mites, some kind of ear infection, maybe something caught in throat that isn't passing down to the crop. If it's throat or ear mites, I'd suggest a few drops of Ivermectin orally and a single drop in each ear. ... If that stops the head shaking, you'll know it probably was mites.

Geese are terrible parents in their first attempts. By the time they're 3 years old is when they have grasped the entire concept well enough to be successful. They are extremely familial as well and dad gander plays his role of "Proud Papa" quite wonderfully. Love your channel from North Idaho zone 6a 🦢🍀🌻💚

Bri, I continue to pray for your eye. I love the tour of your farm. You and Art make it look like it’s easy when if anyone has ever lived on a property with livestock knows it laborious, hard, dirty, smelly and worrisome. Those are just a few big words. With all of those things comes sweet rewards that will not only fill the stomachs but build ingenuity in your children so that there is a better/healthier future. Thankful to see life beyond the pandemic. God’s Blessings, stay safe.

I've had a few picky goats but ALL of them go bonkers for some marshmellows. I hide their copper bolus in the large ones and they gobble them up with no problem. I wonder if you could mix the wormer into a homemade rice krispy treat. Maybe buy a store bought one first to see if their pickiness extends that far lol. I wish you a lovely and happy mothers day Bri. Much love!

Mix your carrot and radish seeds. The radishes come up quickly and break the "crust" on the soil (if you have that problem -- I do) they let you know where the carrots are planted so you don't accidentally hoe them up and you don't have to thin the carrots later. Win! Win! Win!

If you’ve ever watched The Wizard of Oz - in the barnyard scene you will see the background hatching hutches (they look like an A frame of slats). You feed the hen through a wide gap, but she cannot get out until you release her.

Happy Mother's Day! Your hen might need to have her craw emptied. She may have eaten too much or something not good for her. Look it up. You can help her if that is the case. When my goats are full of their favorite spring pasture fodder, they don't want the feed on the stanchion. They are just full.

Another thing. Plz feed something sweet to your goats like jagary it's a sold form of cane sugar. Then after that deworm them. You must give sweetner on empty stomach then treat them. You will see the difference in days.. your cow is due soon..I feel she could do with extra grain like millet corn etc. Also if you can give her oil once a week, like linseed or mustard oil to drink. That will help with conditioning her and build strength. There's are things we use and are of great benefit.

My mother had a flower garden like yours that was kind of on a hill. All the nutrients washed out when it rained, or would expose the plant roots and they'd die. A nursery owner told her to put rocks in and to plant ground covering plants because they would act like anchors for the soil and they would spread like a carpet. It worked really well. My mom had amazing flower gardens. Your vegetable gardens and everything else look amazing. Thanks for the video. It's so peaceful at your house.

👌👌. It takes so much planning with the size of garden you have AND out of no where that dreaded killer frost hits. I have journaled all my planting’s for many years and looking back the weather we’ve had for a few years is ALL new. Good ole Farmers Almanac can’t get it right either. First year we moved here from a 15 acre paradise I hated the grass so we dug it out and seeded entire area with wild flowers and melons and pumpkins with teepee trellis for gourds and loofahs. Rose garden then became my focus. Just like that lady I wanted a show stopper look as people came down the road. A little tamer now but still that WOW garden I love. We also had a hen that acted the same and lucky for me our dear friend is a vet. She was covered in mites so to keep it from being an explosion through the flock we kept her apart. Did our best but it was far worse than expected and she passed. Also had to change their bedding more often cus mites thrive in it. I just cut back all my thyme and sage to dry along with oregano and rosemary all these plants great in flower beds too. My goats be picky eaters when they out on pasture too so had to come up with our own mix for the milk but that was long time ago. But they sure are a great producer when not nursing and a great pal. Looking at your place and all the work you’ve done and yet to do is what I call “paradise “ for you and for the family. How very lucky you are to call it your own. Mistakes can be many but learning is such a peaceful experience as you keep going after your dream. Happy Mother’s Day......hope if ya work it’s what you wish to do and not cus you have to do it. Relax and sit back and be in awe of these times with all you love AND maybe plant something special in honor of this day that in the future you can look at it and just remember these times. My garden is full of such memories that always cheer me up. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy Mother’s Day!! Everything looks perfectly beautiful. I enjoyed the short story about the previous owner and her fame for her beautiful gardens. History is important to me. Everything has a story and even the small detail ( to some) of a previous owner who loved her garden, is an important detail to remember.. Your new goats are very friendly and sweet. I’m happy to see that they’ve settled in and bonded to you. Alice is looking GREAT, especially for a dairy cow! Your pasture is lush and beautiful.. Your garden looks like it is off to a good start. I wonder if you could candle your goose’s eggs to see if they can be salvaged. I’m glad to see ya’ll all looking happy... I love that Wilder!! He reminds me so much of Brighton at that age, but I don’t remember Brighton talking as much and Wilder comes out with something new on every video, it seems like... Enjoy your Mother’s Day! God Bless.

Happy Mother's Day Bri! You are a role model for all mothers. Your garden is doing very well and so are your animals. I do hope you figure out the goat problem though. We had "frost on the pumpkin" this morning when I woke up. Sure am glad that I covered my tomatoes and bell peppers. Yeah, yeah I know, I should have never put the bell peppers out so early. I just got so excited for Spring in Feb so I seeded inside under lights. Then they had to go out. Next year I will definitely wait.

Great vid Bri! Say? Do you get SQUIRREL Problems? I see your garden is close to trees and brush like mine. I get squirrels digging up and eating my corn seed, Berries & even potatoes sometimes. It's really hard to keep them out. I cover my corn seeds with chicken wire after I dig a 6" trench to plant the seed then the wire over it held in place with stones. Last year, I literally planted corn seed 4 times thinking it wasn't good seed before I saw what was happening. Good News; The trench kept corn from blowing down in storms & high winds as I back filled it as it grew. My corn grew gorgeous about 12 ft tall & sweet. Well the squirrels loved the ripened corn as much I did. I haven't figured that one out yet but this yr, I bought electric Premier 1 chicken fencing 48" tall . I'm praying the squirrels try climbing it and get shocked. I just wanted to share about squirrels and See if anyone else has more tips on keeping them OUT of the garden. I love watching your videos. Thank you.

Good morning Bri, Art and family. It's a beautiful sunny day here in Ottawa Canada. Your garden is beautiful and growing well. We use to have a two acres of garden in in the mid 70's we are now at a 1/4 which is plenty for my husband and I, family and friends to enjoy. We also direct seed as well and purchase start plants from our local farmers. Today is Mother's Day and it the first time in 39 years my children and grandchildren will not be here to celebrate this wonderful day. So at times like this my husband and I will spend the afternoon in our garden talking and remembering all the wonderful times our children and grandchildren spent running, playing and helping in our place of happiness. Happy Mother's Day Bri.

FYI, you have to remove those goose eggs. Most were probably bad from the beginning and now if she has abandoned them they will definitely be bad. Just the way it goes. This will allow them to start over. Sincerely, from someone who has raised all types of poultry. Keep the geese on a regular routine and near to the nesting area. Good luck and I enjoy your videos. P.S. you need to worm your chickens. I do it twice per year. That appears to be what is wrong with the hen.

If you check her video from the last couple of days she has pictures of them. The only maybe thing is they live in Arizona. If nothing else she does have info on raising goats. Bri, tomatoes are self pollinating. You don't have to restrict yourself to one variety because you want to save seed. The chance of a tomato cross pollinating in nature is almost nill. Same for beans, peas, lentils, peppers and eggplant. Happy Mothers day.

@@Brifromscratch Yes. The female part of the flower is pollinated by pollen from the same flower. Usually when the plant is moving in the wind. (Growing in a greenhouse it is recommended to gently shake the stem of your tomatoes occasionally to pollinate the flowers) In these type of plants the bloom shape often excludes insect pollination. To develop hybrids breeders will pollinate manually. Think q-tip or paintbrush. Distance or varying bloom time are needed to separate plants that rely on insect pollination (Squash, cucumbers etc) or by pollen carried on the wind. (corn and other grasses) I'm no expert, but you can google any plant you want to grow and check .
