The beginning of a new survival series where it's more than just the pirates that are out to kill me, the very environment wants me dead.
This is Space Engineers survival in hard mode, using some custom mods made by me and a collection of others from the awesome SE community this scenario should push my engineering skills to the limit while also creating opportunities for some really unique design solutions.

Nothing in particular as far as I'm aware, but he's not present in this episode. Whether he'll eventually be part of that specific series is another matter entirely, but so far I'd place my bets on "no" since it seems to be the successor to the previous _singleplayer_ series.

Thank you for releasing this scenario on the workshop! It was a blast. Such a challenge. I had forgotten how the food/drink work, took me HOURS to learn the in's and out's. That the wind turbines were turned down or there was next to no wind, and that jetpacks didn't work. That falling from 2 blocks could kill you. And that stone didn't give as much resources. Never found iron or nickel, so had to dig out like a 10x10x10 block hole in the ground for what I needed for a rover and a small drill rig. Just finished a 24hr stream and 18.5 hours of that was to get off the planet! Loved this scenario!

Looks like a great new series, Im looking forward to see how this develops. Best of luck out there chap. Regarding stone being refined for iron, nickel and silicon - Yes, I feel that same way. What id really like to see is a mod that provides trace elements from refining stone. So If there is Iron and Gold nearby then the stone mined from that location should give small amounts of Iron and Gold - Would couple very well with the removal of ore detectors.

first of all.. i love your series splitsie.. keep up your nice work, it's really fun to watch! Secondly if you want some exitement from dead without to erease your whole world you could add an extra challenge. Something like when you die you can't pick up your body. So you really need to think what reserves you need do keep in your base like tools and bottles and later on what you take with you to raid a base. And you need to be really cautious when you got some valueble materials in your inventory.

I'll be interested to see just how tough getting my stuff back will be anyway, without a jetpack if I die away from base, without a vehicle it'll be next to impossible to get back to my things in time anyway so I will need to remember to prepare myself accordingly :)

Great start on a new series. Looking forward to see how you cope with the challenges you put for youself. One question. In the end you mentioned about power for the lander, and the idea of maybe putting a solar panel on it. Why not do the same on your temp base? Right now, you have enough power to run the assembler, but nothing else. Add some solar panels to your tower, or build a new one so you can use the sun to recharge your temp base batteries when you get around to build them. Looking forward to the next episode.

I'm glad you're not giving up on singleplayer like so many other KZbinrs eventually do. As an introvert, I much prefer the intimacy and simplicity of singleplayer series over multiplayer. Hey splitsie! Hope you see this. A great way to stop the classic "too much oxygen" problem when pressurising areas is to isolate the vents from the rest of the system. I usually build my vents with their own tanks behind them. I then fill these with an O2 farm. If you weld these up before you start on your scaffolding they'll be ready to go by the time you're done.

I thought about that as an option, but the lack of upgrade modules for the basic assembler would make the production quite tedious so I was hesitant to do so :/ Were I better at modding and had any skill in 3d modelling I could have worked out how to add upgrade points to the basic which would remove that argument, but alas I have none of that skill :(
