The best part of this scene is that it highlights what egoism is about. Not simply being selfish as people would imagine but having the cut throat nature to become the strongest even when you're back is to the wall. Cause Isagi could've simply dodged Bachira's pass and let him be eliminated but he took the risk of taking that shot with his own strength.

To add to this - to be the striker here means to acknowledge that you're the star of the show, _with all that entails._ If the star of the show is unable to perform, _everything else will fall apart._ In essence, as the striker, if you can't make the winning kick when doing so is absolutely critical, then nobody else will be able to either because at that point, you've already lost.

I just realized how this first test made perfect sense. The whole point of the game is NOT to be afraid of the ball or just do your best to avoid its trajectory. You are SUPPOSED to pass/shoot it to who you want to beat. And if they fail to do the same, then it just goes to show that they just weren't that good.

First its insane how Isagi throwed his chance away even though he only had 10 seconds. Then how Bachira took the ball from him after Isagi went for him, then after attacking Kira he passed the ball to Isagi, trusting him that he would shoot Kira and Isagi did it. Honestly, the amount of trust and craziness here is insane. Even Kira thought that Isagi wouldnt do it first and that Bachira missed.

I kid you not, the moment Isagi was in frame with the ball, I gasped so loud like "HE WOULDN'T". *But he did.* To someone who was probably a "friend" too. And the essence of that teamwork was based on their egos, Bachira passed because of the monster he's played with as a kid, he didnt pass because he trusted isagi, he was passing to test isagi and see if he too had that potential to be a monster. Isagi himself kicked the ball towards the one person he knew and liked so far in the blue lock and kicked out of selfish ego. He didn't have to kick but he simply did from his instinct alone

@@thatscrazymans kira didn't have the ego that Jinpachi was looking for, Kira being in support of Isagi all the way led to his downfall as what brought Isagi and Bachira instinctively working together is that the two already had their ego burning brightly from the very start. The only thing they thought of was "beat the strongest guy" in this moment of time Bachiras way of beating the strongest opponents was with the "monster" so he tested Isagi if he could be the monster, and Isagi wanted to beat the strongest guy in the room "Kira" to change as a football player and become stronger. It's not supposed to be kind, and it's supposed to make you think "Yeah thats messed up" but that's the kind of rough environment the blue lock is. The tougher the environment, the faster these players can level up to adjust to said environment

If your for everything that happened in the name of rough environment, then can you agree with these points? - Isagi and Bachira could not tag Kira head up and both needed help from the other so neither 1 could get eliminated. They used teamwork to jump Kira, it's bs, but rough environment so it is what it is. - Igarashi holding Isagi making him to the shot from Kunigami was some bs, but that's just Blue Lock so it is what it is. Just fair play.

Where's the part when they teach them to really play up the fact that their knee or ankle hurts? The best part of the sport, honestly. The part where they take 5 minutes to ham up their acting skills on the field, and then they call in officials and medical staff to come in and confirm what we already know, and then the coaches get into an argument about it.

There was a Hong Kong comic 20 years ago having a similar setting, but the characters were real football superstars in caricatures.
