Good advice and kit Dan. Here is another tip: Yes using a cotton cloth pre-filter is always a good idea, but having the opening of the container (pot, cup, bladder, etc) facing downstream vs upstream, will lessen the chances of debris getting funneled inside the container.

Those are great tips. The water coming down that stream is probably fresher than what's coming out of my tap. I have the same Condor water bag and container. It's true what you say about exercising. I just turned 74, no big deal. I have been exercising moderately and eating healthy most of my life since teenager. But I'm mostly into cycling, rowing and light weights. It is not convenient for me to get out and do camping these days so it's nice to watch these videos.

Using a #6 coffee filter works better than a bandana for filtering silt when gathering water from one vessel to another.
