Haha this is great content. I'm looking to have a simple question answered. I play PvP as a hunter in vanilla classic. In my opinion, regardless if you're mm/surv or surv/mm you have about the same survivability and tankyness. What I'm trying to figure out is, which spec does the HIGHEST crits. Which one is BURSTIER so to speak? I couldn't care less about raiding.

You need 2h weapon polearm to compare its better or not for survival , since survival lighting reflexes is depend on agility a polearm with 25 agi enchant should be there atleast a huntsman harpoon , barb of sandreaver or eye of nerub even better ..

Barb of sandreaver is 41 , the eye of nerub is 45 so its 66 and 70 agi enchanted how much agi and attack power we got from lighting reflexes ? Im using nerub atm my hunter agi is about 650 unbuffed

So I’ve been rocking the MM / Survival sub spec for the longest time now ever since MC but I really want to change it up. Was thinking about switching to MM / BM sub spec but my only question is, would it be worth it to put 3% hit on ashjre’thul in order to drop survival talents? I am currently using the hit from the surestep talent with +7 dmg scope. But with the 3% hit scope I wouldn’t need the hit from the Surestep Talent making MM / BM sub spec better right?

yes for sure, the extra damage you get from going into BM makes up for way more than the damage loss from switching scopes :)

You forgot to mention something or rather probably didnt think about :D With the new patch and the fix to world buffs. We will get an increased damage to ranged attacks . Auto shots in particular. Possibly making MM still the most reliable choice. We are talking of adding almost 400 AP to ranged attacks.

You are also forgetting that Survival also gets the same 380 AP buff, so what are you trying to say? SV performs way better with buffs cos of high crits. I have 49% crit chance on full buffs, 29% on base crit. I crit so much as SV that it's insane.

oke after i watchwd vid .. lets say all 3 spec have similar dps .. those smal gaps realy dosent mater.. dosent mater if boss take +10 second.. if you kill him you kill him in any spec.. if you wipe .. no spec will safe you. but lets asume you are also atleast casual pvp. or ur on pvp realm ur you farm some mobs. unles ur bm your pet wont hold agro when you farm mobs unles you just auto shot. and those are reason why 0/21/30 is absolutely best .. you have aimed shot. you have al range buff and scater shot. But in pvp you have much more hp are you able kill rogue with deterence in close combat. And when you farm mob you dont need to worry over agro your pet becous esw hunter in close combat is strong and tanky enought. as hunter r 13 who is 2 weeks away from r 14. i higly recomend surv spec. i even lvl up in it. and it was very esy lvl up.. alost never died and killed mobs wich 2 ppl have problem with. +50 dps or even 100 dps is not worth to be many times dead. even in raid sv spec with survivalist will save you many times i survived soem stupid ability raid dmg with 2% hp as MM i would be 100% dead. and dead hunter do 0 dps. also in pvp if you 1v1 MM hunter.. just jump in close combat he wont have chance. unles he is extremly good kiter.

I'm nothing special, just a old player with bad hands.. I'm considering survival and beast mastery for pve and a little bgs.. With ease of play and not needing to flop all over the place hiding from potential melee.. Would you say this is a viable choice for ME.

And you forgot the 4 melee your giving 40 dps each by buffing TSA. The more dps they do, the more dps you do since its a shorter fight. You also need to check and make sure that sim is not including TSA since most raids don't run enough hunters to give a rando hunter TSA. You also have to include the viability of max weaving on overall encounters. While you can weave on most content, many fights have periods where you can't max weave or even weave, drastically cutting down the weave dps. Weaving can be thrown in the same boat as pets. If you have too many hunters, than ya go SV. But at that point your dps is more reliant on rng to rank since your overall raid dps is gonna be meh.

Heh yeah. TLDR MM is bis because TSA, and if you have enough Hunters to provide TSA to other Hunters you have too many Hunters :D
