If you have easy access to some, try pouring some water in the hole once you get started and let it soak when it's hard going like that. Takes the workload way down. How I have to build fence in the prairies. Alternatively you can blast the hole with a pressure washer if you have one. Great video!

I can emphasize with you here, in Alabama we had red clay in the soil and it's like concrete. When its gets rough I end up getting a pick out along with my shovels

You need what we call a Crow Bar to break up that dirt when digging a post hole in that type of ground. You use the other end of the bar to do the ramming in of the dirt.

Great video. For how long can one have a T pole before the permanent power has to be set up?

*@Survival Dispatch* I'm gonna guess that those trees are leaning *south* - leaning in the direction of the most daytime sunlight. Am I right?

what are the components on the 4-foot pole, I see the circuit box and outlet box, what are the others?

There is a panel, meter base, two 120v outlets GFCI protected and then the 100 amp service wire housed in the conduit running up the pole. We use direct burial wire for the service. We install two 120v 20 amp breakers to supply the outlets, one each of course. At times some contractors have 220v saws at which time we will install a 220v outlet and breaker to the specs they request. Then you need a ground rod and a copper ground wire running from the ground in your panel/meter set up to the ground rod which is driven next to the pole. Hope that helps. Terry
