"Koselig" is more than "cozy". It can for example be "koselig" to meet someone. Your boss can even be "koselig" (here meaning warm and relatable), I doubt he can be "cozy", correct me if I'm wrong. A situation, a person, an object and a place can all be "koselig". I believe this concept is very Scandinavian (maybe nordic). "Koselig" is the ultimate goal for norwegians. If you are a "koselig" person together with "koselige" people in a "koselig" place with "koselige" things around you doing "koselige" activities, life is perfect for a norwegian.

Hi Ronald and Mads, Saw your FB post about way Norway is handling situation. The photos don't appear as offending, but note that some people are beginning to "show their crazy" on other web sites, and making snide remarks about Norway's oil/pension fund. Just read a web article about Norway's handling of crisis, vs. Sweden's (more focus on "keeping economy afloat and trusting citizen's ability to make good choices, vs. "draconian measures in Norway and citizen's rights perhaps being violated"). I haven't ead about your citizens arming themselves, as is happening here in the U.S. (Just what we need, huh?). Looking forward to your next video. @@catholicdad Indeed. I like potato chips too, but they are more a snack than comfort food for me. Since I'm sitting here welded up in the house with nothing to do but change the cat litter box over and over again, I decided to use up the apple pie filling and bag of flour I've had sitting here for months. I've been cranking out pies for the last week, and I'm now up to eight of them. I shared two of them with my even more elderly neighbors. One is on the counter already cut into slices and the others are in the freezer waiting to be thawed and provide my daily lift. I ordered a supply of 85 hot chocolate K-cups from Amazon when this all started and, as long as the grocery store doesn't run out of fresh cheese, I'm set for the duration. :-)

I have been enjoying knitting a sweater cuddled up in bed with lots of pillows and candles in wall sconces (my cat cannot be trusted ...), good snacks and binging Netflix! I was knitting a good wool sweater in anticipation of a trip I had planned for next month to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The trip has now been (of course ...) postponed ... but now that there is more time, I am ordering more wool to knit another sweater to take when I go! This next sweater is a brand new design (by a Norwegian knitter) called Botanisk Hage - now I have more kos to look forward to and the designer has told me to tell her when I am in Oslo so she can meet me and show me her favorite yarn store where everyone knits and drinks coffee all day (so. much. KOS!!!) Now I will be able to wear my new sweater when I get to finally visit the actual Botanisk Hage in Oslo - I can dream of my trip while knitting my sweater in bed with candles and my insane cat ... ultimate KOS!!! In the US, we often call those cozy pants “sweat pants”, which implies that your going to “work up a sweat” in them, which is not the goal if you are in full-on Kos mode. So I have “lounge pants” which are exactly the same thing, only with a cooler name. It makes me feel so much better to put on lounge pants than sweat pants after a hard day’s work here at my home, where my Kos corner has turned into my work-at-home corner. 🤪 Thanks for the great vid. I laughed a lot, which is always a great way to start the day!

For me cozy is a bedroom in a log house with warm, soft yellow light...a “northwoods” themed quilt on the bed with a painting of a northern winter scene on the wall...a few books on the bedside table...and yeah there’d be coffee.
