This is the stuff you normally DON'T get to see on KZbin! As we're getting ready for a wheeling event we're hosting at Merus Adventure Park, which is located in the Palo Duro Canyon in Teas, we show you some behind the scenes of what our life is like as off road youtubers! There's a lot more to it than just Jeeps and Broncos and enjoying the trails, but that doesn't mean you still can't have fun!
Hope you all enjoy the video!

Man i miss that canyon. I worked about an hour south of there in Tulia back in 2012. Took a lifted 2500 cummins i used to own out there and followed a stock rubicon around all over the place. Beautiful country. And crazy offroading. Yall gotta hit up the Big Texan Steakhouse in Amarillo while yall are there. See if Kevin can do the 72oz steak challenge!

To anyone on the fence , go to one of these events, Dirk and his family and staff where amazing, real passion for the land and off-roading. Kevin, Brittany, Chris and Bec. so easy to be around, the people you see on video are the same people we sat around and ate pizza and hung out with. I'm either going to trail takeover Utah in Oct. or the next Merus event in Nov. can't wait to be involved with this bunch again. You need to organize an all female event Brit, Bec, Dirks wife and some other women off-roaders and teach and inspire some ladies in a non male atmosphere, plan it and my wife is there!

We were just there a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! The terrain there is amazing and diverse and the landscape scenery is absolutely gorgeous! That wind you are experiencing is the Great Plains winds. It blows for hundreds of miles over the vast flat land and when it dips down into the canyon it accelerates into even stronger gusts. Luckily the canyon walls in many places will provide some cover. We camp at the very bottom of the canyon for this reason. The Comanches used to use that canyon for a hideout when retreating from the Texas Rangers back in the late 1800s. Lots of rich history there.

Grew up there, and after getting married, moved to D/FW. Could not understand why D/FW considers itself "North" Texas. Geez, It's over 450 miles northwest from D/FW to Texline. Funny story: a person asked once where Canadian is, and I told them you had to go to Panhandle in the Panhandle before arriving in Canadian. They thought there were going to be RCMPs in Canadian. Nope, said I, but there is white deer in White Deer, but no palm trees in Miami.

@@barryraven4745 I have driven from Texarkana, Tx to El Paso, Tx and that is about as grueling an experience I ever hope to endure again. Almost 12 hrs. Some areas in far west Texas have 80mph speed limit. Still, it goes on, and on, and on. Having gone through almost every state in the Lower 48, I do not see myself leaving these prairies, hill country, wine country, beaches, deserts, and some of the most beautiful night skies one can find.
