I just had a tongue biopsy - no one told me how incredibly painful it would be for weeks afterwards. But, like you, I have an amazing dentist. So grateful you got the help you needed and are healed !!!

I just had a tongue biopsy about 2 weeks ago as well, and I agree with you that it is extremely sore when they put the needle into your tongue to freeze it.. It was horrible and so sore as they did it 3 times the worst experience I have had with pain, then they cut a chunk out in the middle of my tongue, then stiched it up. It was sore for about a day or 2, then OK, but I had nystatin and a spray to use 4x daily. My stitches never dissolved but came out after 2 weeks when I are sonething I am still waiting on my results that they said could take up to 8-12 weeks. I'm nervous and scared, but what will be will be 😢 I'm Staying positive 🙏

Plus I also have chronic TMD and can only hold my mouth open for about two minutes without pain By the time he stitched it, I was going nuts. I wanted to yank him out of my mouth! The stitches were so long! It was more like surgery not a biopsy! 😢

My husband had that, the operation as well, but he had 2 operations. It spread to his lungs, spine etc. At 55 he passed away after having this for 1 year and 9 months. A man who was a strong , fit firefighter, never sick , got this through inhaling all the toxins of the fires he went into without a mask and oxygen tank ( this was due to the mayor of our city deciding there was no money for them to a group inducted into the dept) ( btw, all these men died from cancer of the head, neck, lung area). After the second operation he couldn’t speak because there was no muscle left in his tongue. He lost 75 pounds. This young woman was so very fortunate to have survived, most don’t. I’m so pleased she is around to raise her son and I pray all continues to go well for the both of them! ❤❤

Good luck, my partner just got diagnosed, he had seen a dentist one week prior and they did NOT notice anything under his tongue. He had a mass but no one commented on that.

My hygienist looks with a light all around my mouth, not only under or at the sides of my tongue. Oral cancer can be anywhere in the mouth, though it’s usually found on the sides of the tongue or under it.

You are such an amazing person for going through all you did, but also amazing is your love and kindness to share your story with others. I thank you and I hope and pray you are still completely cancer free. Our Lord Jesus Christ is truly our Greatest Physician and our best hope for healing. He still does miraculous instant healings for people every day, but He does so much of His perfect healing through Doctors and other medical experts and professionals every day. He perfectly guides the hands of all the people who work on our bodies for what ever needs to be performed and with His wonderful and perfect wisdom and guidance He works through others. Either way, in my humble opinion Jesus is and has always been our one and the only true Son of God our Father and Creator of everything you see and can't visibly see, and our personal Lord and Savior who never lets us down and is always here for us no matter the circumstances or the situation. I have to slip this in, because it is so very important and that is that Jesus is coming back to get us, the ones who truly and totally believe in Him and trust and obey Him and who have asked Jesus for forgiveness of all of their sins and asked Jesus to come and live in them, in their hearts & Souls & Spirits and w got saved, totally turned their lives over to the Lord Jesus and started to read and believe in everything He taught while He was here. Whether it was taught straight from Jesus Himself or through His Disciples who witnessed all He said and taught even them in private or in public and the Words in the Holy Bible which is the most bought, most read, longest Book to ever be in print, now in every format there is such as Talking Bibles on DVD / CD, online, in every major App stores online such as : You Tube, Apple, Microsoft, and so many more. There just is NO excuse to not be able to either read, hear or see & hear, the most important Book that is written up until today, The Holy Bible . God said, in the Bible that, " Life and death are in the tongue ", it's all up to us to either speak life in abundance, or to speak death either because that is what YOU choose to do ! May every one of you have an amazing blessed day and week and please don't forget to pray for one another and give all the thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus is Lord. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Father God is so great and I thank you Father for everything, most of all for your precious Son and our only Savior Jesus. 😊❤❤

Yes, but that’s not what caused my cancer. I quit when I was 21 (started at 16), and my cancer was diagnosed when I was 27. In My case (and in some other woman with the same circumstances), I believe my pregnancy triggered my cancer. The change in my hormones. My cancer came out while I was pregnant with my son. Why it came back in 2020, that’s a good question. Again could be hormone related (menopause). But it’s just all too coincidental for me.
