Positives from every new era seasons 41 - Shan, Ricard, Danny ( possibly Xander & Tiff ) are all have returnees potentials 42 - memorable winner, same as the season prior but better 43 - One of the best strategist in the whole show, possibly the best male strategist in the new era debuted here, that UNPREDICTABLE last 3 episodes & winner 44 - who doesn't root for the underdogs?, I kinda like the Frannie/Matt showmance, again, memorable winner 45 - some people hate domination because it's boring, well I love it. The best player in the new era so far ( in my opinion ) deservedly won. Jake, Emily, Kaleb, Bruce, Austin, Drew are all memorable 46 - the Gabon of the new era. Produces a lot of memes & funny moments. Q & Venus needs to come back again 47 - the level of competitiveness here reminds me a lot of great seasons like HvV, Micronesia, Cambodia, DvG & WaW. At least 3 of the players are ready to cut people's throat, old school era villainous moments

44 is hugely underrated. The iconic Tika 3, the dark horse Lauren, the cheerful yet naive Jaime Lynn, the funny Danny, Matt and Frannie having the only New Era showmance to last, Josh and Yam Yam's short but funny rivalry, and the bird cage twist which is my favorite way they've done pre-merge idols. Also the Tika 3 being end game wasn't obvious until about F7/6 since they didn't have a majority but Yam Yam going after everyone who wrote his name down was simply iconic stuff. Hope people give this season another chance.

This is my rankings of the new era seasons from last to first. 42, 41, 44, 45, 43, 46 and then 47 is my favorite.

I really enjoyed y'all's takes and feel the same way about most of it. My rankings from best to worst: *43*- Solid all around and ages better as time goes on. Fun characters, good gameplay, and I like Gabler as the winner *46*- I love the chaos but it's full of highs and lows and the lows are really low. The start is a drag, and the ending is tainted for me with Maria's bitter vote. Nothing against Kenzie but a tie vote would've been a fun ending. *45*- Most overrated season of the new era imo. Started out hot and burned out. Some fun characters, but ultimately not good gameplay which lead to Reba dominating and a predictable end game *42*- I like the winner and some players but it's just a very meh season. Not much to say about it. *44*- So boring. No memorable moments and I called yam yam as the winner from episode one. *41*- I mean duh. The only season of the new era that's straight up bad. Until 47 ends, I cannot rank it, but I disagree with Wesley that this season has been predictable. I've been surprised by many of the votes, and I think it's been consistently good. Maybe not as many highs as other seasons but it definitely doesn't have the lows either. If it's a Rachel win like I'm expecting, I will rank it #2 because she's a good player, but I saw it coming for a while. If Sam surprises me and wins, it'll probably take my #1 spot. If Sue or Teeny wins, then yeah, it's near the bottom lol

43 at #1 wow. I don’t know if i’ve ever heard anyone speak favorably of it before but i don’t consume that much survivor stuff. I thought it was a slog of a season and I was really only impressed by Karla premerge and obviously Jesse endgame. But the winner felt so jarring, like it was a purely spiteful vote and invalidated everything we’d watched to that point. I pretty much associate that season with just Jesse at this position and don’t remember anything else.

About the Traitors: So I've only watched Season 1 of the Traitors US, and I am trying to decide if I want to give Season 2 a go. Probably the biggest let down for me was that the challenges ended up feeling irrelevant, especially since any lost money just got to be reclaimed in the final episode. I get that emotions can run high from the challenges and can lead to drama, which was probably the best thing about them to me. I was really hoping there would be something along the lines of the traitors being offered to sabotage things mid-challenge in exchange for something like extra prize money to the pool if they win. And of course a risk would be them getting caught doing the sabotage. Plus there could be extra drama of false accusations of people sabotaging. I guess just what I am asking is does the game evolve at all challenge-wise in season 2?

My rankings: 1: 47 Cast is amazing, had a great villain who made the premerge super entertaining and and a lot of great blindsides in the merge. Genevieve and Andy NEED to come back for s50. 2: 45 Early premerge was pretty mid but most of the cast was absolutely goated. We had Katurah vs Bruce, the auction coming back, and most of the cast was very enjoyable(just forget about what Dee did after the season) 3: 43 This is a hot take but I LOVED 43. Loved most of the cast in the merge all though the premerge was very forgettable. Gabler winning over Cassidy, the Cody blindside, Jesse loosing in fire, just a really great season 4: 44 Absolutely loved the tika 3. I personally wish Carson had won but all 3 were super entertaining. I really liked frannie and Danny too, other than that the cast was pretty mid 5: 46 I was not a fan of the cast. The characters were honestly annoying(besides Q). I really did not enjoy this season because of the cast tbh. Cast makes or breaks if I like a season or not . 6: 42 Cast was pretty mid. Too many advantages and the beware advantages were stupid. I did like a few people like Jonathan and Omar 7: 41 Bottom 5 season OAT. The cast was mid, way too many advantages, mid winner in my opinion, just a season that I hated

45 has a great cast it's very strong in terms of personality but in terms of gameplaye not so much. Jake and Bruce seem like the only ones willing to shake up the game. Drew was trying pull off some moves but it was too late same thing with Austin. Honestly the only ones who should come back for season 50 is Jake, Caleb, Emily and Drew. Possibly Austin it would be fun see him play without Dee cause he is a pretty good game player.

41 is the ultimate hit or miss cast Like Heather, Naseer, Genie, Abraham, Sara, quite a bit of fluff. Ricard is solid and I don’t really care about the guys thing at all, lotta bigger picture kinda debates have to hit your mind if you’re on that beach and Probst is suggesting the change. Erika is solid but poorly edited, legit good strategically, Deshawn is the complete opposite, terrible gameplay, flipped on Shan too early, lost all control of the entire game immediately. Nobody else is really worth talking about in my opinion, JD was fun enough.

My survivor new era rankings 1. 43- great cast all around. Love Gabler as the winner and he made great moments alongside Jesse, Karla, Noelle, Sami, Owen, Elie, and Cody. I like Cassidy but glad she didn’t win lol. 2. 45- as much as I wish Jake won 45 it’s a great season overall. Definitely the rise of villains again with Drew, Bruce, and Katurah. Also some emotional exits instead of sappy exits. Gameplay was strong and that’s why it’s 2 only downside is the quits. 3. 47- good season, wish it wasn’t predictable is all I’ll say but I almost like most of this cast. Sam, Genevieve, Sol, Caroline, Rachel, and Kyle are all amazing. 4. 46- mid season but the messiness was perfect. Bhanu was the knock on this season, but great chaos all around. Q is definitely the new Coach, and I like Hunter and Kenzie. Gameplay was good too 5. 42- gameplay was so strong but man it just wasn’t the hype I thought it’d be, great winner in Maryanne but damn not much of a memorable cast and its moments. 6. 44- Yam Yam definitely deserved his win but if Carolyn won this season would skyrocket. 7. 41- bad, messy, not well edited, why make Erica a nothing player when she wins, Xander’s entertaining but he wasn’t edited right. Also terrible twists and advantages.

I still don't get why people like Q. He literally wanted to quit. Him remaining in the game was frustrating, because he obviously couldn't win. He doesn't deserve to return and I would be surprised if he returns in Season 50. Kenzie deserved to win over Charlie because his strategy was "don't do anything until the very end". I also liked the pre-merge. I don't get why people hate Bhanu so much. The purple tribe, especially Bhanu, dealing with failure was so interesting. The episodes were a bit long, yeah, but to call the start of the season "trash" I just do not understand.

The fact that you need a separate ranking for Seasons 41-47 shows how bad those seasons are relative to even the worst of seasons 1-40. Watching the preview for season 48 was like a deja vu. All the seasons are just made from a cookie cutter now. I would rather binge watch any season 1-40 than re-watch anything from 41-47.

I’d go: 1. 47 (top 10 ever imo) 2. 46 (finally seeing chaotic players again) 3. 43 4. 42 5. 44 (I have trouble remembering anyone besides Carson-YY-Carolyn) 6. 45 (looking too much like “Reba 4 vs a bunch of idiots”) 7. 41 (horrible edit, I feel like it could have been made better)

44 is the only season that I never finished in the 20+ year run of this show. I can’t explain why…just kind checked out shortly after the merge, fell behind a few eps and never bothered to watch the rest. That’s never happened before or since, lol

I totally understand this. For me, its because its the worst cast of the new era full stop. No one there seemed to even want to win or even understand how to play Survivor. Players like Brandon, Kane, Jamie, Lauren, Danny, and Matt had completely forgettable gameplay, and all of them made the merge. I felt so little investment in 44, that I dont even care to rewatch it. I liked the Tika 3 a lot, but they had literally zero competition so it was boring to watch.

the same thing happened to me in that season. I think it’s because they shoved so much Tika 3 down our throats in the pre-merge it made it way too predictable of who was going to the end. It’s been a bit since i watched but i felt like we knew nothing about the other tribes in the pre merge

Elie deserves a second chance, the survivor gods flipped a coin and it landed on Gabler, but I could totally see a parallel universe where Gabler is the merge's first boot and Elie is the one who wins lmao

The only season of this Era I don't care for much is 41. It's hard to rank these for me cause they kinda blend so I have to look at the whole cast. Which makes me a big fan of 43. But 45 had better players overall. Idk 46 was just chaos and fun. So it's getting better.

I've tried to get into these "New Era" seasons, and I still watch every episode. But I can remember maybe 2 players per season. I can name every winner from Seasons 1 to 40. I had to look up who won 41 to 46 after the finale of 47. They're becoming generic.

Here's my ranking: 1: 42 - This is the best new era season. Easily my favorite cast so far. Very impressive gameplay as well. The twist do suck, but at least they felt inconsequential in the actual season and didn't interfere too much with the gameplay. 2: 46 - I love the chaos of this season. The gameplay sucked, but in a way that made this season stick out in a entertaining way within the new era. This was also a really entertaining cast. 3: 47 - An overall really great season. Sure it was predictable, but we still had fun moments despite its predictability. A really fun cast with some impressive gameplay as well. 4: 43 - I really love this cast and the gameplay was really great. Yes, I am dissapointed that out of everyone we got in the final 6, the final 3 ended up being Cassidy, Owen, and Gabler, but I feel the best person won and I've warmed up considerbly on Gabler's win. 5: 45 - A good season sure, but largely overrated I feel. The gameplay wasn't the best, the winner was boring, and the merge felt uneventful. 6: 44 - What a boring season. I love Yam Yam and Caroline, and I think Danny and Carson we're good at points, but I can't tell you almost anything about what happened. 7: 41 - More then I hate this season, I hate what this season has done to the game of survivor and how survivor, particularly the new era gets viewed because of 41.
