The answer to "Who should be voted off?" after episode 1 of this season of Survivor was clearly "The entire casting, medical, & psych team." Whoever allows someone with severe anxiety issues so bad that they need medication to come on Survivor needs to be fired. And any of the casting team who doesn't throw any hopeful in the bin after asking "So will you be quitting your addiction cold turkey by going on the show?" should also be fired. Preferably out of a cannon that is pointed at the ground.

There is nothing wrong with need medication that is safe to have in Survivor conditions on the show. By that logic, anyone with treatable conditions shouldn't be on the show and the reason I bring this up is because contestants are allowed medication if its safe in Survivor elements for years. The cold turkey is funny because I am not even sure it was cold turkey but again, you look back at Shane in Panama and well, the opposite happened lol you just can't predict people. That being said, I think Hannah has a strong point in exit interviews that anyone with a lack of empathy probably wouldn't be cast on the show and well it shows lmao

He also assumed that Parvati and Danielle would put their votes on Russell to ensure their own safety. Heroes vs. Villains was the best season of Survivor. There were amazing moves almost every week. Pavarti played 2 idols...on other people. Biggest bad-ass move ever.

Tyson flipped his vote to Parvati because he wanted to be on the right side of the votes when Parvati would supposedly be voted out. It was honestly an epic play by Russel. Can’t hate on that.

I don’t understand how Brandon passed any kind of sight exams to get on the show. I am acting as if he was going to restore character telling the family name was ridiculous because Russell was a TV villain that doesn’t mean he was horrible in real life so I think Brandon made the family name of the worse

Yep, BB14 happened right after Caramoan finished filming but Caramoan aired after BB14 in 2013. It had to be a 1-2 punch.

Hannah and Sean really pissed me off. Weak weak people. People like that should be screened out. They had zero disposition to be there...and obviously just couldn't take it and wanted to stay at a resort. They don't "go home" when they quit (unless it's a medical situation).

Some might argue about Russell being the Michael Jordan of Survivor, but I'm sure we can all agree on one thing: Brett Clouser from Samoa is not Mike Tyson. He's Brett.

Someone else has probably said this, but Tyson's vote did make SOME sense, which is the only way Russell's move makes sense as well. Russell said he was voting Parvati and Tyson didn't want Parvati and Danielle to vote Russell and make it 5-4 Russell. Tyson wanted Parvati to go home and tried to make it 5-4 Parvati.

I think to be fair just because she's a therapist doesn't mean she is obligated to take responsibility for the mental state of everyone she meets. If anything, her using pro bono therapist tactics on her friends is inappropriate and creating a power dynamic/dependant relationship. And yes her job is to help people but she isn't working 24/7 and she shouldn't have to put her needs below everyone else because of her profession. She acknowledged that she couldn't physically take the reality of the show and frankly physical suffering and addiction withdrawal are very impactful to mental health. She saw that she wasn't up for the conditions and didn't wait until she hit rock bottom like most contestants.

I mean... Zane went all the way until he was voted off (even made a risky strategy to make sure of it, so he wouldn't outright quit), we had Shane, who only started to wanting to quit 3 days more than Hannah.

I'm so mad. Just last week, she seemed to have such a good grip on the game, finger on the pulse. I thought she could maybe be a come-from-behind story out of the blue, just to have her get screwed over by Bruce. I did love her awareness of him ruining her game ultimately leading to her demise - the narrative that episode was top notch. I just wasn't ready to have her built up in a way to get knocked down so fiercely right after.

You/We can hate Russell all we want, but he did a lot, and brought on a whole new way of playing the game. I would like to believe that if America got to vote for who should win (like he suggested), people would have voted for Russell. The only reason why we say/think that his way was not good, is because he didn't win, but that's not due to a lack in his game (the way HIS WAY should be played), but people's reaction to it. And that doesn't take away to the monumental things he did.
