What the heck - why have we never heard of this! And I thought those who wore nose clips were dorks. Everyone should wear them!

We have heard of it, we just haven’t heard of it right now because it’s rare.

people who wear nose clips are dorks. you're more likely to drown than catch it.

Glad he recovered! What is the common denominator between those who recover and those who don't? Underlying conditions? Immune system? Age? Gender?
@DJbradee2 ай бұрын
It’s just luck I think, if you are lucky enough to get diagnosed early and treated with impavido and have a decent immune system, you should be alright. But if not treated you might end up having a stroke or something, falling unconscious and going into a coma, which is when they can’t treat you anymore

As long as people wear nose plugs or hold their noses they’ll be fine also don’t use tap water for the neti pot get a gallon of distilled water in stores.
@emergencyfood35687 ай бұрын
As if nose plugs are magical devices guaranteed to work with 100% effectiveness. The nonchalance with which you tell people to swim in amoeba-infested water and risk contracting a disease with a near-universal fatality rate is shocking. You should be seriously ashamed of yourself for encouraging such nonsensical behavior.

Brain eating amoeba doesn't live in Saltwater. So say all you want about how dangerous the ocean is, that's my choice when I want to swim.

@joellebrown539 Жыл бұрын
Yes and even if it isn't in every pond, lake or river possible u still shouldn't risk ur life cuz u never know. Ur not testing the water to know if there is so it's better not to swim in there

Don’t put any water up your nose intentionally unless it’s prescribed by a doctor, or is boiled thoroughly first. Wear a nose clip if you’re worried about swimming and you’ll never get this, it’s already rare as it is even without nose clips. Beyond that always avoid warm bodies of water, avoid stagnant water, and definitely avoid untreated pools and ponds

He meant there's no reason a kid should have to be scared about having no cure for something they could easily get, and hopes his story will change the fact many hospitals don't have in their storage the right medication🌝
