I'll never ever forget what it was like as kid to not watch the Cowboy games. Im 48. So before my dad decided to get that huge old 10 ft satellite dish I couldn't watch Boys unless they were on regular TV in NY. Yes I live in NY. I hate the Giants of course. So my dad in 1987 finally got that huge satellite dish. Well it was the greatest thing in the world in 1987. Ha. There was no direct tv. However you had to search hard to find NFL games on the satellite. Once you found the game, the best thing about it was there was no commercials. If you had the dish you would hear everything the announcers would say during commercials. As a 15 year old kid that was the greatest thing in the world. Ha. So my dad and I never missed a Cowboy game living in NY. It's a shame the Cowboys were bad in the very late 80's and thank god Jimmy Johnson built a dynasty in the early 90's. That satellite dish as a kid growing up as a Cowboy fan in NY was the greatest thing in the world.

One week later, the Cowboys would lose 14-3, to an 0-11 Bills team. Was at that game & never heard four Cowboys fans more quiet in my lifetime on the drive home.

And even after blowing ass in that Buffalo game, they controlled their own fate (the division title & playoffs) but blew that Redskin game in the next-to-last week (up 3 scores but then let them back in it with four turnovers in the third quarter alone).

Amen.. my opinion, the old clean Cardinal jerseys looked better than the busy Arena football uniforms they wear now. Also the stylized Cardinal head they rock now looks like a woodpecker. Bring back the 8os uniforms ~

Dennis Thurman was a ball hawk. Those hands of his made up for his average size and quickness. So he picked off a lot of passes and always remember that safety blitz that KO'D Ron Jawarski
