I could (and have) watch this and all episodes 10x over. Also a masterclass in editing and storytelling, not easy to pull off solo. 👏👏👏

I don't get what glitches but either way this series is one of the best series I've ever watched in my life. I remember the first time I heard about the show was one of my classes at school and the guy was saying how you always made fun of Bear Grylls and stuff so I checked it out and i was instantly hooked every year or two I always end up rewatch the whole series And I really really enjoy directors commentaries those are my absolute favorite. It's so cool to hear all the behind the scenes and stuff like that and hear your input on filming networks, etc.. Glad I was able to experience the show was coming out

I don’t know what the “glitches” were about, but I’m going to watch this one again!

Far as i can tell the original uploads had some scenes where the video wasn't upscaled to fit the screen and looked smaller. Still very watchable and it was only a few scenes in some episodes, but it's nice to have a 'proper' version.

Hey Les, i was just watching the Kalahari desert episode last night and it brought me back to being a teen watching these at my parents house. I was thanking you for giving me that. Going through the toughest times anyone could face right now and that was a nice flashback. Thank you sir, you are a legend and we are all so proud of your work.

My father and I have both carried multi-tools and a harmonica ever since 2008. You really made an impact and created a passion that my father and I share. The fact that we get to re-watch it on youtube in 2024 is amazing. Thank you Les :)

An interesting fact about the African buffalo, they’re one of the only animals that have no indicators before a charge. They’ll go from completely stationary to an offensive charge with zero warning, leaving you with only seconds to realize your deadly error in decision making.

It still amazes me how long Les could go without eating.. with me, just a few hours without food and I start losing my train of thought, even at just 4-6 hours I start getting hypoglycemic and start shaking and getting really sick and weak feeling, a couple hours more and I get a massive migraine and just want to cry and curl up and do nothing.. I couldn't imagine going days without food. But then I'm 6'10 I'm sure that in part leads me to needing more food than the average sized person.

If Les EVER THOUGHT he was on Bear Grylls level - don't embarrass yourself. One difference between the two: Bear profession is being an elite warrior who in 24 -36 hrs can be deployed to any corner of the planet engage kill adapt blend in overcome and return and is paid a wage for being a trained international soldier. Les is literally a kid who played in the woods and now a man doing the same thing. I'm sure Les doesn't know more than the best huntsman in his city...place your bets. I'll take a warrior over an enthusiastic bush raft guy any day.
