I'm 20 years old living in my own first apartment, and Survivorman is one of the few positive consistencies I've had ever since I was a child. I am from Grenada. Its very nice to see my country being featured on your channel. This is how the locals catch crayfish. Chew coconut finely so its hard for them to pick up. Spit a small amount in the water. The crayfish will come out to eat the coconut then you catch them with the hook using a earth worm.

Cut a 2 liter coke bottle in half, flip the side around where you pour the coke and stick it inside the bottom half of the bottle and tape them together. Then drop some raw meat in the bottle and leave it in the water. The crawdads can go in the bottle to eat the meat and can't get out.
@katehall20272 жыл бұрын
@@outlawgt3045 When I was in Oregon, a local taught me to take a forked stick and cut it so the two "tines" of the "fork" were very short. Then you pin the crawdad down by putting the stick just behind their head so they can't move or pinch you. Then grab it with your hand (very carefully, lol) and throw it in your bucket. It's so cool that crawdads are found all over the world and different people have figured out so many different ways to catch them. But, considering how delicious they are, I am not surprised!

not too sure about that. i'm used to watching guys who go in with nothing, Survive That, Dual Survival, Matt Graham, Ed Stafford, Hazen Audel etc. i recently watched my first Survivorman episode (romania) and this chap went in more kitted out than a mid-sized DIY store... he had a lighter, matches, ferrell rod, alcohol stove, energy and protein bars, beef jerky, a full cook-set with 3 containers for water, sealable plastic and garbage bags, modern compass, he even had 3 different fleeces despite simulating someone "on a day hike". he walks about on some trails and then proceeds to trigger a GPS signal and just wait for the rescue team to come find him. at one point he even spends a good 10 minutes doing a tech keynote on his various recording methods and the captivating world of SD cards and batteries... not doubting he may know his stuff, but there was literally 0 demonstration of any primitive or bush craft skills, hunting, trapping, navigating or orienteering, shelter building, fire starting or anything else you'd expect from an expert demonstrating how to handle oneself in a survival situation...

Normally in documentaries, all these beautiful shots are enhanced with an overuse of lensing effects in order to "enhance" how they look, making them more flashy and what not, ruins the feeling. Found les for the first time a week ago when I searched up "a year alone in the wilderness" watched the episode with him and his wife, now I've seen the first three series. He is the best of the best, wish I could find out what his wife went on to do, she loved the survivalist stuff too

All the love in the world for Les and the ridiculous efforts he goes through to inform and entertain us. It's so green and dark there, the colors feel like they are supporting the mood.

I'm so glad your channel seems to be really taking off. I remember when you first started out and it was a new experience for you and you were finding your footing with a platform you didn't usually use before for your content. I've watched your show since I was a young kid. Always rooting for you!

Hey, Everybody, did his Son & Him shows just re-appear? I wanted to watch his Son and him on that beach, because I saw that on TV few years back. But, I thought it was on YT, but then it seemed to disappear. But, I think it is back now. Don't know if anyone else liked it, but I sure liked watching his Son learn things. Because I remember when I was younger, and it was SO WONDERFUL to have my Dad around and teaching me things. Now, I don't have that anymore, so it is a TREASURE to see Les and his Son out there, being together and spending quality family-time. Such wonderful videos that are so precious, which people just don't realize -- until you can't do it anymore.

Les I have watched your show countless times. I used to watch you drinking in the barracks making my little meals on a hot plate thinking this dude is drinking rainwater from a leaf. You gave me some great tips thanks for all that you do

Les got me heavy into bushcraft!! Thank you Les, i have always felt this is the ONLY survival show that was ever available on mainstream networks... others were just lame knockoffs.
