Todd I am a native American living near the Canada border. I grew up on a reservation and my great grandmother told me that our people spoke to them and agreed they would stop destroying our things and stealing the food, and we would leave them food for winter. I was amazed because the idea of them speaking was amazing. I remember my dog barking I was maybe 7 and he put his hands on the roof and looked around in our home. I was sleeping on the floor with a blanket over my head and my dog was barking. And when I was a teenager my parents sent me out to get firewood and I knew it was right behind me I felt the breath on my head, but I pretended I didn't know he was there, but the fear shook me because I thought it would steal me. My great-grandmother told me about this woman in Canada that was taken when she was young and then years later Sasquatch brought her back and she was pregnant and she needed human medical help and then she had a baby and it had hair all over it . the baby had died and then she went back to the Sasquatches. That's what I feared. I also saw him recently around two in the morning I was driving my mom to work and he must have seen my headlights and turned his back I think I was trying to hide in the shadows, but I saw him, He looked ten feet tall , I was happy because I wanted to see him. I have many stories, but I took enough space. I am grateful for people who fight for the sasquatch people.

Interesting that the first noise on the recording is similar to the predator noise. I've been practicing making that noise and have gotten pretty close. But my point is the noise I'm hearing on the recording sounds like a humonoid glottal sound. It's coming from the back of the throat. Not quite a growl but anatomically it sounds like it's located in the same space. Dogs, cats and other animals have a lot of high end hiss in their vocalizations. This sounds more like an elephant or ape, like the oxygen making the noise is coming from within a very large cavity

I have heard a vocalization that I believe was a sasquatch. It was deep. A cross between a sigh of resignation and a growl of amusement with a touch of annoyance. You could almost imagine the being rolling its eyes and shaking its head and saying, "How could I be so stupid to think these dumb humans were one of us?". He had come upon our campsight because of my husband answering his woodknocks all evening. It was gutteral sound and soft but had so much vibrational substance! It must have been about 60 feet away, and it left me sitting silently and unafraid (in the dark, alone with only my husband in the woods) when i normally would have been in a panic. I was not speechless, just thoughtful. We did not speak for about 5 minutes. The only thing i thought in my head was, "There aren't any wild hogs around here..." . Presently, we got around to asking each other: "Did you hear that?". The vocalization had intention of thought - like i said, amusement and slight annoyance - at us interrupting his/her travels. There was nothing frightening or threatening. It went on its way after diverting our attention by throwing a large object into our campsight. We knew the direction it walked from and the direction it continued on in because of the woodknocking. My husband had been answering the woodknocking all night - until it finally - and silently - approached our campsight. At no time did we hear branches breaking, leaves rustle, or even a pebble roll. This was in a very, very thick brush! All of this happened within 45 or 50 miles of New York City. It was not a human being. There were no people around. We were the only people camping that week in late October. The vocalization was not from human vocal cords. I have never heard a human make a sound like that - or any animal for that matter. A bear or a wild hog would have been a close match, but there were no wild hogs or even bear in that area at the time. A Bear or a hog would have been noisy moving about in the brush. The largest animal indigenous to that area would be a deer. We have never heard a deer make that noise - and we both have experience to back that up. We also reviewed recordings of deer just to see if it was possible that they could make a sound like that. I have to laugh, because maybe - just maybe - it was reminiscent of the sound made by the character "Lurch" from the 1960's "The Addams Family " TV series. But there was something about the sound that was not from human vocal cords. No human could be physically silent in the thick woods like that. The areas that were clear of woods and debris were within our sight. If it moved in cleared spots, we would have seen it! I believe Sasquatch is real. I wish I had seen him/her - not for lack of trying. And during the whole experience - with a smartphone in my hand - it never occurred to me to use the camera.

I believe Todd Standing and his amazing footage that he shot and nobody was able to discredit scientifically (and i'm not talking about stretching images and silly photoshop transitions that can be done with everyone). I agree with Les Stroud, that many people just are envious & resentful that a person with quite a strong & somewhat obsessive personality hit the jackpot and they all didn't. Envy strikes again, but if people talk more about the person than about the actual evidence, you know they have no arguments...

Ive also as a kid had my own encounter. About fiming anything, I think it would be difficult to capture anything in the boonies. I witnessed a car wreck didn't catch it on my phone. I seen a guy pull a knife on another man and didn't get that. Because when your swimming in the experience you don't think to capture a picture. Your there but you don't think, you react. Most just stand there and obsorb what was going on in front of them. To say why he didn't do this or that, is so silly to me. He lit a flare and scream his head off. Wonder what you would do? Do a selfie tell them to say cheez. I bet most would fall to the ground in fright.

And if you have a camera or recording device, of course, it might be amazing footage or at least the authorities might find out what happened to you... this happens with people who study sharks or bears too: Timothy Treadwell turned on the audio recording when he and his girlfriend were killed horrifically by a grizzly... you call them fake too?

What level of credibility does Todd Standing have today? The video he has of the various faces are incredibly interesting. What do the Sasquatch 'experts' say about the video? Has Standing ever produced DNA from hairs, blood, scat, etc? Before you start yelling at me to do my own research - LOLOLOL I've tried and came up with very little. It almost feels like Todd Standing cannot get out of his own way. The opening of his videos remind me of a kid playing in the woods rather than a grown man with years of survival training and time spent alone in extremely remote areas. I really want everything he is doing to be real and legitimate. How great would it be if his discoveries were confirmed to be real? I sure hope they are.

Agree, doing everything he can to stay relevant! Might have had an actual encounter & wants another so badly, he will do anything. He's gotta be the most unprepared person I've came across. Was gonna use researcher or investigator but couldn't use those words & associate them with him!

I've been hunting Mule deer around Williams Lake, BC since 1998. Since 2006 I have been filming our 7-10 day annual hunting trip. When I started filming, all I had was a consumer grade camcorder while hunting in a small area each day with rifle in the other hand. I think I speak from experience when I say that if you're alone and trying to film moving objects in the forest which are dark in colour, it's almost impossible to get the 'money' shot. Todd had to do everything. I mean EVERYTHING. This statement isn't so much as a defense of Todd's documentary... It's me sharing my experiences with filming the outdoors and saying that I'm willing to put up with some amateur post-processing if it means watching a few seconds of clear footage of a Sasquatch.

@@onelegwest I understand and, to a point, agree with you. The problem, as I see it, is a matter of credibility - or lack of it. From what I have found about him - Standing has some respected researchers questioning him and his motives. To me - this is an indictment of his honesty. It would be the greatest discovery in history if what Standing recorded is real. Why so much skepticism? Why no DNA?

@@elvez1231 Have you watched any of Les Stroud's Bigfoot episodes? If not, I recommend watching them all including the ones where he chose Todd Standing, a guy who Les says has experience with 'boots on the ground', over who Les says was a 'behind the desk' cryptozoologist. Les's director's commentary videos are very enlightening particularly when he talks of Todd Standing. Have a great weekend.

The reason this happened to Todd is because he brings rifles into the woods. They know him, recognized him, and remembered him. They do not like guns for some reason and I can only speculate. They have been hunted and still are. The flare was probably another thing the bigfoot didn't like. Can you guess who else uses flares? Military. Probably was waiting for Todd to bring his rifle up and start shooting and if he had done so, Todd we be another missing person.

Sounds like a Todd was practicing with Mr miagi for upcoming the karate tournament but seriously maybe he stumbled upon two Bigfoot having sexy time and he just ruined some lucky Sasquatch’s big night , not cool Todd
