Could not complete the entire session as this was my first attempt at Surya Namaskar. I could only do 16 rounds and had to stop as I felt breathless; although my target was 20. I am still happy though as I highly doubted I would even reach 10. At least I am leaving this session feeling confident about myself. Thank you Naveen Sir 🙂

It's important to understand that weight change, whether it's loss or gain, primarily depends on your energy balance. This means if you consume more calories than your body needs, you gain weight; consume less, you lose weight; and if your intake matches your expenditure, your weight remains stable. With yoga, if you don't have extra weight to lose, you typically won't lose it just by practicing asanas. Yoga contributes to overall fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being rather than directly causing weight loss. As long as you maintain a healthy diet that provides your body with its required calories and nutrients, including carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals, your weight should remain stable. Remember, there's no specific asana that leads to weight loss. It's a combined effort of maintaining a calorie deficit through diet, regular walking, and practicing yoga that contributes to weight loss. So, you can continue enjoying your yoga practice without the worry of unintentional weight loss, focusing instead on the many other benefits it brings. Keep nourishing your body with a balanced diet, and enjoy your yoga journey 🙏
