Well it has to be Elaine. There are not enough superlatives to describe her performances. Tempo, pace, rhythm, range, timing, articulation, dynamics, projection, emotion. There are many more I am sure I have missed. She is skilled in many singing attributes. So many voices from the one person. Makes many singers sound monotonic by comparison. The complexity and emotion that is conveyed is awe inspiring.

Weird but I prefer Elaine's version when she's performing an event in regular clothing vs watching her in the overdone makeup & kind of frumpy looking costume & over acting whereas Betty in character is more powerful to me with both her voice & physical gracefulness, the way she just floats up from the stage... Betty beats em all for me.
