beautiful song, so sorry to hear susan took her own life especially so young ! I was 19 yrs old when this came out and this song along with many others from the 70s and 80s helped me through my teens - helped me to deal with testosterone and parents and work and girlfriends - ahhh those long ago far off memories that still get stirred when one of these gems pops up - rip susan and thanks to you and kay for helping thousands of us mixed up kids get through our early lives - thanks for uploading regards pete

a pop GEM, along with Merry go round. She seems to have only issued three singles. As we all know it can take YEARS to make any headway in pop music so to even chart once is an achievement. Having taken her own life so young, I feel she never really gave herself a chance!.

Tight Band backing Susan quirky catchy love her glasses she stands out blows anything and everything out of the park now or the last 30 or so years being 80s can harp on.Have this on one of my CD Comps such a rare gem of a tune to be blessed and part of the greatest decade of all time never to forget miss it so much oh hail the 80s atmosphere

Does anyone know if Susan Fassbender played keyboards at one point with the Eurythmics? I posted a You Tube clip of the Eurythmics performing 'Never Gonna Cry Again' on the Old Grey Whistle Test and noticed by chance that the keyboard player looked very similar to her.

According to someone posting on another video of "Never Gonna Cry Again" it was Penny Tobin. I have no personal knowledge either way, but like you I can see the similarity - all she needed was the glasses!

No. But there is a funny story about it.... Mike Close, the real bassist couldn't attend the taping due to a family emergency, so they were casting around for somebody to play "fake bass" for the taping.... and they got, of all people, Jim Pembroke! He was visiting family in the UK, and they shared booking agents. They became quite good friends and sadly, Jim was one of the last people to talk to Susan (on the phone) before her suicide
