I still listen to their songs..Sunshine Day,Time to Change, Keep on Moving..I used to dream I was a Brady kid and the dream was very deep rich colors..they represent caring, happy, fun to be with siblings. Who can forget Cindy freezing on TV..she acted so great in that! Bobby worked hard too and had great scenes. I wander what it would feel like to be loved by millions in the 1970s ,but rejected for parts that weren't even as good as Brady. Barry has really ran with it, but I don't know if I could..it is work!

They Brady's were a big part of my life when I was a kid. Back then,I wished I was a Brady. I was a lonely kid who was picked on everyday in school. In a small way it felt like the Brady kids were my friends. That show did a lot for me. It was good to have the Brady Bunch show a part of My life. I am now 63 years old and still watch the reruns all the time. I even know each episode by heart.

Great interview. I think that we can all relate to having something in your life that at some points you need to distance yourself from, but at other points you can really embrace. Things can be 'cool' or 'uncool', it doesn't mean anything. I'm glad that the 'kids' all seem to feel fondly about, and appreciate 'being a Brady'... all things considered. Especially the end -- I've not heard Mike Lookinland speak to the Brady experience before.

As much as I loved the show, I feel badly for these people. They are trapped as these characters. Can't be anything else. Everywhere they go, people ask them about events that took place between '69 and '74. Sherwood Schwartz made a fortune off of the syndication. The Brady kids haven't made money off the reruns since the late 70's.

Amazing how Mike Lookinland made the conscious decision as a 13 year old to essentially drop out of acting after (I would say sabotaging) his screen test for Swiss Family Robinson. He obviously did not want the part, preferring the life of a typical eighth grader.
