The cast was never paid appropriately for the impact that the had. Paramount made a fortune from that show, and it was the cast the viewers cared about.
@Bigbadwhitecracker5 жыл бұрын
But you can say that about any tv show from the same era - especially Star Trek, Gilligan etc. They got paid standard payment. Carroll O'Connor, Alan Alda, Redd Foxx and Larry Hagman changed ALL that soon after. So The Bradys just missed the lucrative rerun payments. They should have been well paid on concert tours and personal appearances though.

OneDayAfterAnother that's because everyone learned from their success to not sign the same type of contract! friends is on Netflix or whatever now and they make a million a year off that alone being viewed.
@mwilliams13305 жыл бұрын
Why? Do the people who put your toilet together get a residual every time you flush it? Contracts were what they were, later the union negotiated residual payments, but are hardly what 'fans' think they are. The real money goes to the Owners of the show. Rightfully so, they took the risk, put up the financing, and for every hit they may produce dozens of pilots that never get picked up.

Makes me think of the early episode where Jan is doing her level best to impress “Clark” and then sensuous Marcia sashays in. Clark gets a wide-eyed gander and so long Jan! It was the incident that set the stage for their series-long rivalry. Incidentally, while watching Jaws 2 some time back, I recognized that same boy all grown up as Chief Brody’s eldest son. I don’t seriously believe there’s any real-life resentment. Eve Plumb, as well as Maureen, has always been hot and cold on making “Brady” appearances.

They’re always talking about how Robert Reed was like a real father but no one says Florence Henderson was like a real mother.?

If you would see the interview with Eve Plumb done recently, you would see she is an artist, with a life in the present. She is down to earth and very sociable. Did you ever consider Maureen was mean to Eve off screen? Maureen was the so called star and let everyone know it!
