I've noticed most people struggle with facial expressions, so I suggest you to think as if you're in alternative universe. for example: when I dance contemporary, and I have to give a mystical vibe, I think of myself as an underwater ancient dangerous creature. (it's actually Zoi Tatopoulos's tip) ; or if i dance Feel Special i think of myself as an elegant princes that appreciates people she is close to (or if I'm dancing to show my friends that i love them). The point of this whole thing is you won't have to control your facial expressions that hard, it will become natural, and you can focus on your movements more.
@mathilde18064 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah that's a good idea thanks ! For me, I usually watch the fancams, clips and dance practise as many as possible and choose a dancer (for Fancy I chose Jihyo beacause her expressions are good) and try to copy her/ his expressions....

Don’t play the competition and comparing game you don’t know how much they work they Put in to get there focus on yourself obviously you’ve just begun THATS why your not as good but the goal here isn’t to compare and beat its to grow as long as you focus on yourself and put your all make it become an obsession make your life about I train as a fighter ima be a world champ Im putting in that law of attraction make it your obsession cut the things that aren’t gonna help your habits like KZbin use it for studying things not to watch videos and compete against yourself I say compete against yourself because let’s say you compete against others and beat em you don’t feel satisfaction compared to competing against yourself and growing and when you think that when you compete against others your putting your all let’s say your gonna go train your obviously not gonna go light right compete against yourself push through have good self talk and visualize wherever you wanna be and keep going don’t be depressed don’t listen to your ego there is no charts in reality

There are many mistakes in the mirror that you can't see but in the camera yes... It's hard to know but yup, the camera has the true, and we should pay more attention;(

I think it's because when you look at youself in the mirror, you cannot focus all of yourself. I tried to fix my hand movements so I could not look at my legs at the same time. Furthermore, similarly, it is the difference in your face when you take a photo between with the front camera and the back camera. Myth is you tend to think you are more beautiful than the you actually are. Mirror is sometimes a liar.

I don't know if it's just me but I feel that it helps me a lot when I attend an open class with a clear goal in mind. It helps if you already know what weaknesses you have so you can go into open classes and tell yourself "Okay, for today's choreography, I'm going to focus on arm extensions" or "Whatever they teach, I'll focus on incorporating more groove into the choreo". I just think it helps to maximize what you reap out of the open class and when you look back on your video, you just need to pinpoint one area to get feedback for. But like you said, for every other aspect, it's probably better to look back at the video a few months later to get an objective assessment of your weaknesses

I started dancing for fun over the summer. I truly admire seventeen’s choreographies, and I wanted to learn them. Then I realized, hey, I really enjoy this, and I would like to improve,, but I don’t want to to find a dance teacher. This video will be super helpful, thank you! I just have to be patient and not get discouraged, I have to remember that I have only been dancing for about a month now and my level will be no where near idols, who trained (with professionals) for years upon years on end 😅

I am here in my bed watching the old recordings of me dancing compare them and just feel proud! Eat well, healthy I honestly lost like about 30 pounds don't starve yourself somehow I now it all I want and stay skinny since my metabolism improved! Avoid feeling negative since it brings you down and make you wanna give up this happen to me and don't compare yourself to the professional dancers they all trained hard like us and look how well they dance now some of the dances I like to do are Lisa from blackpink or j-hope from bts and freestyle
