Sometimes you hear a drum solo and while it's good many times they lose track of the tempo of the song and in many cases it just becomes so messy and hard to listen to . Here, however, for me, Ronnie Tutt absolutely lets rip but keeps within the tempo of the song, he just quadruples the speed of his playing. AMAAAAAAZZZZIIIING!!!! It's right up there for me, absolutely right up there, but if you go outside of Elvis Presley not many people will have heard of him. He deserves to be mentioned with the same amount of respect and in the same breath as Ginger Baker and John Bonham. This was pure gold 🙂

Hello from England I heard this morning that Ronnie Tutt has passed away. R.I.P Sad news and i shed a few tears for his family and friends but he is now in heaven getting together with his TCB buddies that have gone before and with ELVIS. I guess they are having so much fun "jamming" The death of Ronnie has made me think of the time that has passed since the beginning of the live shows. 50 + years OH MY i was 12 when Elvis died James, Glen and Jerry are the last "men standing" and they are in their 80's now.

I just love how well his band responds to his every little signals. Hand ques and the band goes soft, he gives out a scarf and Charlie is ready with another one. So subtle that people don't notice but just watch and you'll see what I mean.

THE Best , I was a kid then but knew what great great stage presentation looked like and what a well rehearsed group of great musicians could sound like, I don't think I have ever heard better . I worked arenas for years, and the difference between A+ and D was immeasurable, some groups just earned their wage , while others would leave the place shaking for a week. I guess there can't be many more of this great production remaining with us other than James Burton . I miss real live big shows .

Till the end Elvis still had that beautiful voice. He was always and still appreciated by the fans but not the industry. The Oscars last season proofed how disrespected Elvis was and still is nominated for 8 awards did not win a one 1⃣ them . The movie Easley could have won hair and make up yet that went to the Whale plys not honoring Austin with the best actor for hid once in a lifetime Oscar performance was not only a disrespect to Elvus but to Austin who put in over 3 years to perfect the role ,the movie and Elvis himself. God bless his soul.bI guess now is his time to catch up with his daughter.

I love elvis. But you can see a significant decline from his 1970 live shows in his energy and mobility, and even from Aloha in Hawaii in 1973. His voice is great though. Ronnie Tutt remains the best of the best.
