Watching Luke just stare at her when she was still at her desk, when Edward was writing, it was chills with intensity. And it had only begun...... He pushed the buttons upside down.....not even "push" he jammed on them. Any ol' buttons....too funny. GF laughed...how could you not! TG laughed too. Can't be scripted.. "Stand by Your Man"...... I love he sings that phrase of the song. Awesome add-in!

The "Stand by your man" was a clear reference to the summer promise she made to stand by her man, so he was reminding her that she didn't 😢 but also a kind of plea for her to 🙏 . He's starting to be hopeful again😊 The banter brought out his hopeful, playful side.

I used to hate typing on the old typewriters, you'd get to the last line of a letter, make a mistake and if it had to be perfect you'd throw it out and start again just like Laura had to. Computers/word perfect were a wonderful advancement!

Both he and Laura are skeptical and well they should be. Edward, you old fox. You knew Luke wanted respectability, money AND to be near Laura most of all. What a devil Edward is but you have to love him for that.

Well I can understand just for comedic purposes ... HOWEVER for those of us who appreciate that at some point in time Luke had integrity, was trying to do the right thing, we prefer that Edward respected him, just a little... it is too sad to think now that Luke is such a pathetic waste that Edward completely despises him on every count. It is ridiculous that the extrmemely talented veteran actors such as Tony Geary and Jane Elliot have been regulated to circus clowns!! Makes me MAD!! JMHO!!

Newyorkergirl 1986 I started out as a receptionist (now a legal secretary) at a small law firm, and I got SUPER lucky. My bosses are GREAT. Really laid back. Thank goodness.....otherwise I wouldn't be celebrating my 7th year there, lol.

I'm also a receptionist, I do more typing than your typical one though and I love it. Wouldn't trade it for anything. My 2 bosses are awesome. Been there 1 1/2 years. I LOVE having the weekends off.
