It is also ironic that the super rich are behind this. The best thing we can do is break up monopolies, regardless of public trading. The power these companies have, created the disparities between people’s commerce. Don’t be fulled, the more governments are involved the more money they receive. If we don’t hold them accountable for their actions we will have more poverty. For example: electric cars. The emissions will just be moved to a different place, it does not remove them. Processing the metals and minerals for them, the water supplies are poisoned the stone is taken from mountains in another country, the electricity to run them is processed on top of current needs. Don’t be conditioned to ignore how incongruities and inconsistencies make the dream difficult. Don’t push forward regardless. This agenda can happen, it doesn’t have to happen at a cost to the people it is supposed to help. Slow, smart and steady win the race, not racing forward at all costs, as is planned.

I just don’t appreciate being called a minion or a useful idiot, especially when I share many of your views about tax evasion, wealth concentration, etc. I think you have some misconception about what the UN is vs. what WEF is. I am not saying it is a perfect institution but the UN is simply a platform for all nations to make decisions, it is not a club people pay to get into which could definitely be argued of WEF. Criticism belongs on the countries who make or block decisions. The SDGs (also far from perfect as I note in the video) were developed very inclusively compared to any other global agenda, it’s hard for me to envision how you could see some of these goals as futile when it’s just so clear they are needed (combatting climate change, providing quality healthcare, etc.) especially since you give no concrete solutions. It’s easy to cast stones at those of us who are here in the trenches trying to make things better but until you come with a better solution I will just keep doing everything I can as one individual PS I am willing to listen to good, concrete ideas for change at any time. I’m an open person who likes different points of view.

If we don't change then those that you see as vulnerable now will be in a even worse situation, maybe even not able to exist in their current area. So maybe there is a small cost now but that's better than a future cost of everyone living in that area.(I do think others should support them also but if they ain't at 0 yet that should be their primary goal, this includes getting countries they import from to 0 also). The world needs to wake up and there is not 1 solution but many of them and all the solutions should have the goal of reaching 0 emissions no matter if they have 1 person or 2b people living in their country. Like there is no room for greed anymore and the sooner everyone understands that the sooner we might be able to turn around accelerated warming of the planet. No matter what your per capita emissions are it has to hit 0, like no point my country hits 0 when India produces in 1 year as much as my country has produces since the start of the industrial age. My point is not to flame eat India, its that countries can't hide behind their population numbers because 1.5b*2 is as much as 300m*10 when both should be 0. My point is that if they continue on the bad path they will only make their own situation worse because when we hit +3 degrees... currently we could stop it at +1.8 before it starts to drop again.

No one wants to implement them. Thats the issue. Ending poverty means hiring the poor which rich people dont want to do. Instead they want to create robots to replace jobs. Their stock portfolio would lose money in the shortterm.

We are talking world wide objectives. A simple and clear objective would make it easy to set goals and measure progress. Complicate diversified goals will guarantee very little is actually accomplished.

I definitely see your point but I think having a more complex and interconnected view of sustainable development will prevent us from doing things in silos and inadvertently creating additional problems. For example, with climate change a key solution is empowering women everywhere which may not seem obvious (www.streetbusinessschool.org/blog/5-ways-gender-equality-can-help-us-fight-climate-change/)

Just saying climate is #1 priority can lead us down paths that are very problematic (geo engineering, eco facism, etc.) This is why I prefer and advocate sustainable, inclusive approaches to climate action and the SDGs provide a good roadmap for this.
