Tell the brother to get goats. One male 3 female.They will eat all the grass and the milk and cheese will be constant .All he has to is make sure the male doesn't bread with his daughters or mothers and sons .So they always have disease free goats .And to fill Sisal sacks with soil debris and damp them on the pot holes on his road .And to make tiny little gullies or channels along side the road and on the road it self so that the rain water runs into neighbouring fields.
@ade62196 жыл бұрын
Atyour Servicee, I would like to add a few things that possibly may clarify for everyone the topic of having goats, and their disposing of the grass. firstly goats are thought of as being browsers", and tend to eat high up(shurbs/trees), but will eat grasses. As to what Baah realest" is saying, goats are very hard on all plantings, and unless STRICTLY confined they will destroy any plantings. GOATS ARE HARD TO MANAGE As a solution if one was considering an animal for grass, then getting a sheep would be much better; as they are grass eaters, and docile and much easier to control. Over all if I was suggesting to the brother of this homestead in Ghana," it would be, that if you are thinking of animals, then a simple moveable confined system(chicken/rabbit/ TRACTOR )could help you greatly. This simply is wheeled along you're landscape at intervals, with the confined animals doing the work for you; leaving behind manure waste etc to be planted upon. The other would be, to ALLOW the grasses, but cut green / dry etc and bring them to a permanent area where these can be fed to say a rabbit herd, and the manure is collected there in place for organi purposes.There are sooo o many simple ways to approach this, but importantly I would want the brother to look at the grasses and so called weeds as an asset and positive rather than anything else.

@sankofax80825 жыл бұрын
@@ade6219thanks De, I adopted that name for myself. loved the meaning behind it. I will def do some reading on Bill mollison, I also did a lot of research on permaculture about a few months back. when talking about raising livestock for self-sustenance or small based commerce, I was scared of the expenses of livestock feed, with permaculture I found out many cheap natural alternatives. for instance, Black soldier fly larvae(BSFL) can be easily grown for chicken and fish feeding. some people even rear worms and use them as feed. Although I haven't put most of these information into practice, I am mainly gaining knowledge I would use when I go back home.
@ade62195 жыл бұрын
SANKOFA x, it's all good ! When you say going back home, just where is that at ? I steward a Permaculture homestead village in rural West Central Georgia U,S.A. I, a left activist, former of the(BPP)created this base to find sustainable solutions for (ADOS)" American Descendants Of Slaves." In the early days I taught many persons the science of Permaculture, and that's a beautiful thing,but what was not so, was the fact that I can count on one hand the number of melanated persons that had the interest to be taught out of the hundreds of others! I'm for ever trying to change this. Sooo thus I like to make positive connections, and assist and exchange with others. So if I can help you, just let me know.And as well this applies to others too that are beyond the talk........Peacee brother.

Perhaps it may be Tanzania or Namibia or Rwanda instead. But the rule still remains. Visit and stay for a month like this man did then return home to think about the pros and cons of making the move as well as the logistics of making it happen. Absolutely amazing!! Thank you for the video! All Black people need to start considering a self-sustaining future. Even if it's not on the continent of Africa, there are so many places in the world where you can live with this same kind of tranquility. I've been blessed to experience this in Panama, Costa Rica and Antigua eating the freshest fruits and richest herbs and simply getting closer with God. I have my eyes on the Motherland now, that's how I came across you! Thank You Black Family!!!!!

WOW!! Listen, I'm sitting here in Wisconsin, with outside temperatures at 37° in early November. Although, I'm heated by my furnace and often dread the upcoming snowy days, I still don't have a desire to move to Africa. However, I respect anyone with vision and determination to live out their dreams. I can't get over the beautiful modern kitchen!!! And the tiles in the bedroom leaves me awestruck!!! Thank you for opening your home to us and thanks Native Borne for filming. Your host gave useful & insightful information about the realities of living in Ghana. Much Respect, Peace, Prosperity and Protection to you all! ✌🏾✊🏿🙌🏾✊🏽💜💪🏾🙋🏾♀️

@Service Three I'm a subby because I want to learn. Thanking God for KZbin which allows me the ability to enrich my, "ignorant" as you called me, mind. As most know, Americans are not taught OURstory, it's HIStory, which is why I love taking this life journey with the Native Borne Family. Furthermore, my point about the kitchen was to compliment and show my pleasure in seeing that it is no different than many kitchens in the US...which is my only frame of reference. I hope you understand.

Wow! Just this weekend, I visited my aunt and cousins deep in very rural south Georgia (USA) where my mother's side of the family has lived for at least five generations. I had forgotten just how rural it was, with its vast acre upon acre of fertile Georgia soil. The road I grew up on was paved, but there are many dirt roads there still today. This man's homestead and rural property very much reminds me of my maternal family's home town. We had fruit trees, a garden, nut trees, etc., although both my parents had city jobs. They also keep a good garden hoe and a shot gun to kill the deadly southeastern rattle snakes we would encounter from time to time in our yard. It was an experience I can appreciate as an adult. As my ancestry is mostly west African, I can definitely see the appeal of rural Georgia to my forebears, as it looks so similar to where we originated in the Motherland. Peace, love, and blessings to my brethren who found the courage to retrace our ancestors' steps back to Africa.

I'm an up and coming producer who knows the truth about our ancestors. I just want to thank you for these videos. Its been in the back of my wife and I minds to go to Africa for a while. Your videos are motivational and they helping us become more comfortable with the idea of moving. We've also been looking into building an Earthship (You guys should definitely look into them) but are nervous about not having anyone there that we know that could help us build. Yah has been putting a desire in my heart to move and start a community. All praises to the most high!

@@iluvrachellef INDEED Big Bruh!! I'm always looking for ways and learning from others on how to escape this infested sess pool of greed, jealously and envy and most importantly escaping from the D!!!!EMONS who have a heavy grip on everything we do..... I need a sense of Freedom.... Electricity is the least of my concern, all that matters is being stress free and having a piece of mind and being around good righteous people. I lived in the caribbean on the country side with my grandma and grandpa for 6 weeks with no electricity, tell you the truth it was a fun experience telling stories over a coleman lantern and watching fire flys zoom across.... I miss those days and wish to return back into those times of being humble to one another..... ONE day!! I will make it possible and when that day comes to establish a solid connection with Native Borne if I decide to make way to Mother Africa for a similar foundation like this brother in the video.

Love this video. I started building an earthbag house 11 years ago. Owen Geiger helped me w design. Got up about 4' then had to switch materials... labor intensive and after chemo...(I did not anticipate all that) it was just too tough, bags weighed over 100lbs. and it was hard to get a worker who could endure. I doubled bagged went two wide, used cracker dust and lime, barbed wire... so the perimeter walls started were 30" wide. Built a cistern, installed my own solar and plumbing. Planted maybe 20 different trees but challenged by marine environment few survived. So I have only coconut, papaya, Barbados cherry, mulberry, sapodilla, guava, governor's plum, moringa, chaya, neem trees which I had to cut down and remove from yard...And hundreds of silver palms which came w the property. Have garden w seasonable vegetables and have cultivated pineapples too. I understand his challenges...but all the hard work paid off w a nice, peaceful place to live w/in nature and much improved health.

I'm really happy to see our sisters and brothers moving back to the motherland. As a Ghanaian based in Europe, I strongly believe most of us can contribute in making Africa a good place for us all. I can understand the hustle, but still there're a lot of opportunities in Africa. Just look around Ghana/Africa and compare things you've seen or experience in the US or Europe. The next question or step is to brainstorm what can be done or transferred to fit the Ghanaian/African society. There's a lot of businesses, which can be set up out there. Re-settlement must be a long term plan and strategic, i.e. several visit to plan on which businesses are viable, long term savings, etc. I know most Ghanaians in US or Europe build a house in Ghana within a time frame depending/based on their finances. It can be between 1 - 10 years. When that's taken care of, the next step is saving to start a small business, etc. With that said, one must be careful with the corrupt ways in Africa. For businesses, go into areas where government officials involvement are very less.
