For someone who hasn’t been knitting very long, your projects look like that of someone much more advanced. Especially the color work - you’re an adventurous soul. Want to suggest that you find a yarn shop close to you ( an LYS - local yarn shop) and get to know the people, maybe join in on knit night or a class. I did this many years ago and found the best group of people and we still meet every week and even travel together sometimes. There were young women, older women like me, all ages really, and a few men. Just a thought - again, very impressed with all you do. Thank you for your videos !

My self esteem takes a dive in the autumn too. Something about the change of season and my appetite goes through the roof and I gain five pounds. I think it is a deeply programmed evolutionary adaption to survive winter. I dont worry about it as my appetite dials back come December. I embrace the flowing dresses and still keep lifting heavy and getting my movement in and I can feel my strong core under it all and its okay. Plus i always feel a little meloncholic come September when the kids go back to school and I miss that. I make it a point to try to learn something new regardless, and this autumn it is to knit a sweater. I can knit, but nothing more than a scarf or hotpad...so spending alot of time reviewing easy sweater patterns for beginners and can't quite decide what to spend my money on for a sweaters worth of yarn. I think your vest looks adorable.

wear the top back to front! i actually do that with lots of shirts where i feel the print is a bit loud right next to my face. for some reason having the print/pattern on the back works better. and also, it would look so cute with a button up shirt underneath :) i will so make that black pepper tofu dish!

To not waste anything: I‘m using my discard starter for more firm, wholegrain loaf in a box shape. I‘m usually using a recipe from the Bread Code here on ytb. I‘m often using whole rye in addition to a jar of collected discard starters along with some fresh starter.

Hey Immy. I got a lot out of this video, very inspired to frog one of my failed knitting projects which I have been putting off... and also to make something exciting with tofu! Hi Immy, The vest looks really lovely, but I can see why the colour section is making you feel uneasy. Not wanting to overwhelm you with more options, but I wonder if the colour work section would benefit from being longer. You can add to it really easily without unravelling using a technique called duplicate stitch (watch Arne and Carlos for a great tutorial). Re: self esteem being in the bin atm: yeah, I always feel like I belong in the bin during Autumn, which is so annoying because it is such a beautiful season. I'm undiagnosed but pretty sure I have Seasonal Affective Disorder, which generally makes everything more difficult this time of year, so I can sympathize with this feeling. Also, just because we are femmes on the internet doesn't mean people should be jumping to fertility related conclusions when we wear something flowy. That is such a deeply personal situation and shouldn't be talked about unless someone has announced and encouraged others to discuss it. Also, yes, kiddos don't need to be on the net, unless they have been specifically hired and their parents are good advocates for them to be a part of an ethical production.

For what it is worth, I like the colour blocking on the vest, but think for me personally (saying this as though I can knit anything other than a scarf, and that's with help casting on and off 😂), I think the neck is too high, which is what throws it off. I could be COMPLETELY wrong, and just talking to my preference, though.

Your floaty dress is very cute, and you are very cute! The color really suits you! Also, YES, it is extremely sexist and dumb to immediatly go and say "are you pregnant"? 😑😑 And I admire your bravery in just going and knitting difficult things as a beginner! I'm the opposite, I've been knitting for 10+ years and there are a lot of things I just don't feel confident trying, so I don't learn much. You inspire me! Just a little tip though: when you unravel something, it's better to "reset" the yarn by sort of blocking it (just wash it without agitation in warm water with a little detergent and leaving it to dry, there are better explanations on youtube sorry I'm french). Makes it easier to work with and the finished project is usually neater. The vest is adorable! Bravo on the colorwork, see, one of those things I haven't been brave enough to try yet! And no, I wouldn't change the colorwork in the front, it's cute and adds interest!

I think the best is amazing since I can’t follow a pattern to save my life for either knitting or crochet I just make stuff . That being said the pattern would have looked better I think across the breast instead of so high up . Next I feel the arm holes are too big can you add more and close them in a bit . This is woman to woman when a woman ask for opinions we are honest that’s where there is respect born between women. I need your soup in my life . And now I want to knit something other than a square so keep inspiring me .

Let me tease you about expecting because I have never encountered someone that has had distressing experiences with stillborn children or infertility issues!” I can’t wait for people to learn to stop prodding people to comment on these things. If someone wants to talk about their body or their family planning, they’ll initiate it ON THEIR OWN. (Influencers included.) If they’re not talking about it, THEY ARE NOT READY. Everyone’s on their own journey, let them decide when they feel like discussing those things with you, if ever.

Shein are well known for stealing patterns and recreating them as their own, so my bet is that Shein is in the wrong here
