Reason why Ustad Ji is great. Actually I have heard that students may mix different styles of baaj if he follows different gharans which can harm. But now a days Punjab students are playing farukhabaad to Banaras. These maestros change the tabla. Earlier Gurus didn't disclose how to get nikas one who was not ganda bandh sisya or belonged to different gharana.

Sadly It still happens Sir. We have one high headed tabla teacher who thinks he is only one who knows or invented tabla. He spreads venom against all tabla players other than Hindus. This high headed person has followers all across the globe even great maestros are influenced by him..
