This is fantastic! My sister and I are both under 5' and she sent this to me. I'm not in the market for a vehicle but I watched the whole thing! Average-height people have no idea of our daily trials and tribulations....I use a children's seatbelt adjuster for goodness sake!!

@TheHappySoundBox4 жыл бұрын
I'm 4'10". I moved to Canada last year and saw the streets full of RAM trucks. I fell so hard in love. I dont know how to drive yet but il be starting lessons real soon just so that I can drive a RAM someday. I'm crazy about trucks now and I was never into cars before. Your videos have inspired me more. Thanks.

the socks in the thumbnail caught my attention to the video; now that I've watched the video, I learnt about the struggle of driving (and choosing) cars as a short person; this is something I've never even thought about. Great videos! and cool socks lol

It's been a while since I've watched one of your videos. It's kind of amazing that it showed up on my front page for once. You're still darn cute. Don't think I've seen one of those leg extender things before. Weird. That space in the middle is almost big enough to fit you inside of it. Also, I'm surprised they haven't added a button on the inside that opens/closes your hood for you. I swear they have buttons for everything else nowadays.
@1ntegress6 жыл бұрын
Haha I would LOVE to see a button for the hood, at least to get it to raise up automatically. I can close the hoods, but opening them is sometimes quite difficult :)

Hi Jenn, I have a question for my mom who is 5 ft tall. She said that when she test drove the Highlander LE, the side view mirrors was blocking the view of incoming cars. The sales person moved up the driver seat, however it was still not high enough , she said. Do you have same problem like she did? My mom is hesitating to buy the Highlander because of that problem.

My husband and I are in the look for a good SUV/truck for me. One of my runner ups is the Toyota Highlander. How did you feel driving this car? I am also a short girl, and this car feels huge! My husband thinks that a bigger car is safer for me as a new driver but the size of it scares me!
@1ntegress6 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry it took me so long to get to this! I honestly love driving bigger SUVs and the Highlander, while large, is comfortable to drive and has good visibility. If you don't need an SUV with a third row though, I would check out the 4Runner. It is definitely more of a truck, where the Highlander has a car-like feel and much lower ride height. If you want something about that size but a little more refined and with more comfort features, I would check the Lexus GX. :) Oh, and don't be scared of the size! You get used to it and the blind spot monitors, rear view cameras, parking sensors etc. help you out!
@Biza7186 жыл бұрын
Integress Thank you for your reply! At the moment the top contenders are still the Highlander, the new Honda Passport and will take a look at the Lexus. I had thought of the 4Runner but my husband feels that all the safety features are a must for me and the 4Runner doesn’t have it yet until next year, apparently. We can’t wait a year. I’m also a new driver, living in NYC I never had the need to drive but we are moving to Texas, so I will need a car unless I stay home all the time or hire a chauffeur 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, thank you your suggestions and hope all is well with you. Keep making videos, love watching them!
@1ntegress6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Ohh, from NYC to Texas, quite a change! I moved to Texas from LA and I actually like it in Texas much better (maybe I'm just getting old haha). You will do just fine in a Highlander or Passport sized SUV out here-- there are a lot of trucks and SUVs on the road out here, so being in an SUV yourself will be a good choice, especially for visibility purposes (when I drive a sports car around here, it is difficult to see in front of the big trucks/SUVs in front of me!).

I’m 5”3 and I have a big truck. It’s a challenge for me to see. So I have to have the seat all the way up to the steering wheel. And I have to have a pillow on the seat to see over the steering wheel. Having short legs is the best. It maybe a struggle but it gives us plenty of legroom

I’m 5-4 which is not super short, but still Highlandet sucks for me. The seat should have additional 1/2 to 1 inch of up travel to give me nice and comfortable view from the drivers position. My Dodge Ram was waaaay better in this respect. Can’t believe that it was designed by generally short Japanese. And one more thing - the floor of the trunk sits so high that it leaves much less height inside the trunk than my previous Rav4. I think I”ll dump that stupid Highlander.

I've had pretty good experiences with large vehicles too, just so long as they have good seating positions and can accommodate us height-challenged people with adjustable settings for things like the hatch. Also big trucks like the RAM, Sierra and F-150 offer adjustable pedals which make a huge difference!
