My grandma used to ask us, "Do you want your eggs boiled?" We'd say, "Yes.." then she'd say, "It already is.." and throw the egg onto our plate where it would break and the raw yolk would flow out. I never knew if she was being non-dual or just a jerk.

My grandma seemingly was a jerk too. She never ever hugged us, was always grumpy, I don't recall seeing a smile on her. Now I smile knowing it is all a dream. Thanks for sharing the 'boiled egg' story.

Interesting that you absolve the Narcissist. That was my very first realization when my separate self trance began to dissolve. I was like, "Why the Narcissist bashing? Why is narcissism any different from any other delusion?" I saw the scapegoating as just another social media fad. Any narcissist that caused me to turn inward, to examine, to finally wake up from the dream due to the pain, did me a huge favor. I just don't hang around with that personality type anymore.

Well said. Seems fashionable to toss off the word “Narcissist” like we commonly use words like “prick” or “bitch.” High-brow name-calling. Just another way to pretend to distance ourselves from each other. Thanks for saying it.

Exactly. And many of them are probably not narcissists, but autistic or PDA wich is part of autism. Im not sure how autism plays into non duality, and if you could "wake up out of" autism.. 🤷‍♀️

I've had this dissolving in the beginning of the year, it lasted about 2-3 months, and right now I am pretty much identified with the self again. But there's nothing that can be done. It just feels sad. I want that pure nothingness back. I know that it is already it, but somehow I can't see it. I remember being so comfortable with just sitting in doing absolutely nothing, but now doing, doing, and stories! Exhausting!

Don't give up, but don't want to be someplace else. Over 25-years I have watched my husband's seeking while knowing all the while, he overshot the mark. He was already there! That's why I'm with him. You most certainly are already there. STOP! Or not, either way you're perfect.

Who is the one identified with the self? And who is the one that wants the nothingness? And who is the one who knows it already is? These things are just happening, the mind or body might say all this but thats just whats happening. There is noone doing it. The body/mind says it wants nothingness, says it knows what it already is, says all these things. The mind may say "i did it" but whos having that thought? Noone its just happening. Nothing to do about it either. Just accept thats whats happening completely on all levels. Accecptance so deep that you accept that you cant accept it even. Everything is fine. Even it not being fine is fine.

That’s normal! Now the oscillating begins. It feels like going back and forth from selfing to being and being back to selfing. At first the selfing seems all but gone and suddenly the peacefulness of being seems to vanish, leaving the mind grasping for more of its own absence although the mind isn’t aware that it craves its own absence and will put up a fight while the work on dissolving the ego is unfolding. Learn the art of letting go and relaxing dropping beyond the thoughts into the feelings then once you’ve acknowledged what’s presently arising you can relax into the emotions and allow them pass through without any mental resistance. More and more presence comes in and less and less “I” with all its personal preferences that creates nothing but conflict with the flow of life. This oscillating begins to work everything out on its own volition but your mind is seduced into thinking its a participant and it merges with the flow as the personal preferences are complete relaxed, then they lose power, but all that power is your energy you have been feeding the mind with. Watch how you feel as the mind dissolves. That’s ecstasy! That’s your natural state. All other states belong to the mind and have nothing to do with you. Where you are upon your seeming path, I would highly recommend reading The Untethered Soul and Living Untethered for the teachings around doing the emotional work which is effortless as the work is simply letting go. That’s it! All the efforting is close to vanishing. He doesn’t really teach “nonduality” in the way you hear so many repeating what they heard from somewhere else and are making videos without even having actually experienced what they are talking about. And many are too entrenched in their ego’s beliefs that it knows what nonduality is and most of them can’t understand this emotional work as their ego is trying to be clever and keep them from doing the emotional work as that is key to dissolving the ego. Even after self-realization, despite knowing the selfing is of the mind. The mind persists anyway and it’s quite the joy to watch it and see it dissolving and in its place nothing but the most beautiful divinity begins to flow through your being which is one with your being, as that is its true nature. Don’t get stuck in Heaven though. Go beyond the divine which is not easy to do, as that unconditional love is the most powerful energy there is. But you can transcend even the Mind of God. In fact, eventually you are going to have to as nothing will satisfy you not even God’s love can satisfy you from desiring your own absence and being ultimately free. Now once you have read this and if it resonates for you then please throw it all out. Let it go. It’s simple to let it go if you just admit I don’t know if this true. It may feel true and that is enough. Leave it at that and then find out directly for yourself. And you will see the wisdom in this because you can’t go into this with pictures in your mind imagining what it would be like. That’s completely unnecessary and it’s only the mind still trying to assert itself. So give it nothing as a reference point not even an imagined one. Dissolving the mind’s reference points is very uncomfortable and disorienting for the mind. That’s exactly what is supposed to happen. Let the mind be disoriented and let it go, then you will see an incredible peace and love wash over you. You are establishing zero distance, separation is powerfully dissolving the ego when the mind cannot attach to anything so by all means let the mind fully feel it’s confusion, it must go through this in order to break the hold it has upon your consciousness.

Narcissistic abuse is awful but shows so acutely how much self identification equal suffering. It’s just unbearable for the apparent victim that is suffocating and the apparent abuser that desperately needs validation and control. It’s a harsh way for « what is » to destroy or illuminate the false boundaries. Again a great communication, Suzanne. Thank you ❤

"If other people do not understand our behavior-so what? Their request that we must only do what they understand is an attempt to dictate to us. If this is being 'asocial' or 'irrational' in their eyes, so be it. Mostly they resent our freedom and our courage to be ourselves. We owe nobody an explanation or an accounting, as long as our acts do not hurt or infringe on them. A person who has not been completely alienated, who has remained sensitive and able to feel, who has not lost the sense of dignity, who is not yet 'for sale', who can still suffer over the suffering of others, who has not acquired fully the having mode of existence - briefly, a person who has remained a person and not become a thing - cannot help feeling lonely, powerless, isolated in present-day society. One cannot be deeply responsive to the world without being saddened very often. Happiness does not exclude sadness - if a person responds to life, he's sometimes happy and sometimes sad. What matters is he responds. The affirmation of one's own life, happiness, growth and freedom, is rooted in one's capacity to love. Love is an act of faith, and whoever is of little faith is also of little love. Only the person who has faith in himself is able to be faithful to others. Paradoxically, the ability to be alone is the condition for the ability to love. People do not see that the main question is not : "Am I loved?" which is to a large extent the question : "Am I approved of? Am I protected? Am I admired?" The main question is: "Can I love? " Exclusive love is a contradiction in itself. If a person loves only one other person and is indifferent to all others, his love is not love but a symbiotic attachment, or an enlarged egotism. Care and responsibility are constituent elements of love, but without respect for and knowledge of the beloved person, love deteriorates into domination and possessiveness. The pleasure in complete domination over another person (or other animate creature) is the very essence of the sadistic drive. Another way of formulating the same thought is to say that the aim of sadism is to transform man into a thing, something animate into something inanimate, since by complete and absolute control the living loses one essential quality of life - freedom. I believe that the experience of love is the most human and humanizing act that it is given to man to enjoy and that it, like reason, makes no sense if conceived in a partial way. What most people in our culture mean by being lovable is essentially a mixture between being popular and having sex appeal. Man's biological weakness is the condition of human culture. The deepest need of the human being is to overcome our separateness, to leave the prison of our loneliness. As long as anyone believes that his ideal and purpose is outside him, that it is above the clouds, in the past or in the future, he will go outside himself and seek fulfillment where it cannot be found. He will look for solutions and answers at every point except where they can be found- in himself. The person who gives up his individual self and becomes an automaton, identical with millions of other automatons around him, need not feel alone and anxious any more. But the price he pays, however, is high; it is the loss of his self. Many psychiatrists and psychologists refuse to entertain the idea that society as a whole may be lacking in sanity. They hold that the problem of mental health in a society is only that of the number of 'unadjusted' individuals, and not of a possible un-adjustment of the culture itself. The fact that millions of people share the same vices does not make these vices virtues, the fact that they share so many errors does not make the errors to be truths, and the fact that millions of people share the same form of mental pathology does not make these people sane. I think, to be specific, we got off the track when we concentrated more and more on production of things. Thereby, we created a split between intellect and emotion, because, in order to produce a modern technique, you have to use intellect, and we have created men who are very brilliant, who are very clever, but our emotional life has become impoverished. . . . freedom to create and construct, to wonder and to venture. Such freedom requires that the individual be active and responsible, not a slave or a well-fed cog in the machine . . . It is not enough that men are not slaves; if social conditions further the existence of automatons, the result will not be love of life, but love of death. A society whose principles are acquisition, profit, and property produces a social character oriented around having, and once the dominant pattern is established, nobody wants to be an outsider, or indeed an outcast; in order to avoid this risk everybody adapts to the majority, who have in common only their mutual antagonism. Exploitation and manipulation produce boredom and triviality; they cripple man, and all factors that make man into a psychic cripple turn him also into a sadist or a destroyer. Hate is a product of the unfulfilled life. If I am what I have and if I lose what I have who then am I? Alienation as we find it in modern society is almost total… Man has created a world of man-made things as it never existed before. He has constructed a complicated social machine to administer the technical machine he built. The more powerful and gigantic the forces are which he unleashes, the more powerless he feels himself as a human being. He is owned by his creations, and has lost ownership of himself. Modern man is alienated from himself, from his fellow men, and from nature. He has been transformed into a commodity, experiences his life forces as an investment which must bring him the maximum profit obtainable under existing market conditions. Organized religion is in substance a mystification, a means of hiding the wickedness of the social system. If the Christian principles of love, equality, and freedom were really practiced instead of only preached, there would be no need for a special institution(the church) to take care of those principles. We have a religious renaissance today in America, as many people say. I would say this religious renaissance, ninety percent of it is the greatest danger true religious experience has ever been confronted with. When people can't handle God any more, they turn to religion. Well-being is possible to the degree to which one has overcome one's narcissism; to the degree to which one is open, responsive, sensitive, awake, empty.... Well-being means, finally, to drop one's Ego, to give up greed, to cease chasing after preservation and the aggrandizement of the Ego, to be and to experience one's self in the act of being, not in having, preserving, coveting, using. The criterion of mental health is not one of individual adjustment to a given social order, but a universal one, valid for all men, of giving a satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence. Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence." Erich Fromm

I’ve said some version of this several times before, but here it is again: It is so deeply helpful that you have posted and are posting today these videos of this indescribable non-experience. Words that come to mind are “comfort” and “companionship.” Perhaps in the highest sense of those words. Talks that at some point in my life I almost certainly would have dismissed as nonsense. Yet now they feed something that knows it must listen even before it begins to grok what is actually being said. Like waking up from deep anesthesia to a kind, authoritative voice. Thank you for speaking this, again and again, as the recognition slowly softens and wakes up… 🙏💜🔥🫥⭕️🌻🐣🦋😂

Can you make a video like this at a theme park or somewhere with obnoxious people wandering around in the background? I tend to get pretty meditative in those places. Well, beforehand I was pretty disgusted but then I realized acceptance of today's society was my path to liberation. I went to Disneyland last summer and saw the beauty in people I used to think were cancer of the earth. Maybe I'm not making sense here but essentially I dissolved my judgments of how others choose to live.

I listened to around 2 minutes, but I just had to start typing. Since this happened to me around 6 months ago, every day is just more crazier than the next. I keep thinking, "ok, this is crazy enough" then sure enough, it gets crazier. Just deeper and deeper and deeper. Disappearing into nothingness. Confusion. Worry. All happening perfectly.. I inquired with my teacher about what's happening in the body, and he refused to take on the conversation. Some people get lost in it, but since we have no control over what's arising, it's better we just take an observational stance without any input into the situation. My situation so far, objectively, has been fucking rough. If you had a lifetime of suffering, ironically enough, realizing your true nature is going to be a lot for you to unpack. Some traditions ease you into this process, soften the body a bit.. but I was just dunked head first, and I think you the same? Feeling a bit of deja vu now for some reason, gonna keep watching the video.. Hope it's getting easier for you Suzanne, I know what you're going through.

Great work touching on the more widely understood duality of narcissistic/empath dynamics. Dr. Sam Vaknin, a friend, puts forth the physics behind its resolution in psychologic terms, on KZbin. This a generation where unhealthy and abusive relational dynamics have their mechanics mapped out. The self knowledge can only go so far. Another interesting aspect of the dynamics is the addiction to thought itself. Non-duality is the end of the image making process. The way its described here is not unlike what those addicted to physically addictive substances go through, withdrawals. Looking forward to the meeting tomorrow. Thanks. .

Hi, Kellie, What I’m finding, ever so gradually, is that it seems to only be lonely from the old perspective. The deeper it goes, the more it’s revealed that oneness isn’t actually lonely. For me, at least, this is turning out to be only a belief of the character/separate self. Not that I haven’t felt loneliness, and still do, but it seems to be an illusion of that fundamental sense of separation, slowly dissolving like so many other things. All the best to you… 🔥🫥⭕️🌻
@ProjectMoff
@ProjectMoff Жыл бұрын
Lonelyness implies another to be apart from, it's a misconception. Existence is, it's just that it's none of your ideas, existence doesn't observe itself directly it observes itself though it's function, just because you cannot see "yourself" doesn't mean you aren't there, seeing implies you are there but anything you say about yourself is a complete fabrication, people suffer when they identify, because what else is there to identify with other than symbols? Why paint an image on emptiness? If you think you're looking at it then you are confused. Emptiness, nothingness, void, none of these labels are adequate because all labels and concepts are interpretations and nothing more, again, it doesn't see itself directly.

There is no arrival, as there is nothing to do the activity of arriving, no destination, and thus nowhere to arrive. It’s a mental trap, a story weaved of only thoughts that the mind is projecting a self, or is this activity of selfing. There is just a seeming flow of “arriving” once the sense of “I” finally drops. The “here” is always here no matter what appearances may be suggesting as the mind would have you believe. The mind is strictly focused upon appearances. Every thought is another appearance talking about other appearances, thoughts about more thoughts. Once you lose interest in the thoughts and the mind is being turned inward on itself rather than allowing it to go on and on with its endless stories questions begin to arise that shuts the mind up as it has no reference point to latch onto until you let it start thinking again without questioning which the mind is completely believing everything it says. If you think you are uncovering the truth your mind is well at work and the ego is running the show. The spiritual seeker is part of the illusion. When you began to see through the identity of the person, the mind quickly and unconsciously created another identity and was right back to asserting it again. Now it’s a spiritual ego. Yet when the “me” falls away everything seems to happen on its own accord but that won’t stop the I from still trying to take all the credit as the so-called experiencer that isn’t never actually here, present with what is. It doesn’t even arise if there is only presence with what is. What is falls away leaving only presence. Despite having seen through the illusion of the ego and it’s falling away is not a single event. It remains an unfolding. The I will still persist but you begin ignoring it consciously, and it dies.

Perfect pointing. Story lines are just playing out, a ripple effect seems to occur, there’s no denying and no condoning what appears as actions on the relative plain and yet a responding may arise. All the effort to construct a better character and story, then to enter a deconstruction process, a stripping away to ‘no ground’ ‘no self’. 😢🙏

Hey, you're at the graveyard, you might have met our goddess Hecate. Look at this song by Wendy Rule: Gone are the leaves On the Hecate trees Shed to the wind till Her skeleton claws the sky I am alone In a forest Of memories Dragging behind me The howl of the winter Hecate Hecate Hecate

All characters are the protagonist of their own story. All characters have challenges otherwise the character growth or characters journey isn't there. Whether the human character is a hobo, a rapist, doctor, murderer, baker or whatever, doesn't matter. All humans are exactly the same. Nothingness. A phantom character playing out a story. I see all humans as the same. I don't hate a killer, or a rapist. They are the character that Fate created. Stories play out. There's always experiences, whether you call it good or bad is based off the ego.

Title is amazing My dad committed suicide none years ago. Now I'm almost twenty one and still so hurtike a heavy pain body like Eckhart likes to call it. Not sure it's (soly) cos of my dad's passing, the pain body is as it is. But when you listen to non dual teachings, it's hard to understand hoe to heal cos apparently its imaginary. It's weird af.

Hi Susan. I'm a Kristopher. Hi people. I was used as the unwitting author of 911 and other world events while being abused by the Worldwide Gangstalking Program. Needless to say I felt pretty angry and guilty and scared. I studied Zen in early life and found a relationship with Great Spirit. I've been thru it all and what you are saying is true. I subscribed before you even spoke. I like the Louis Armstrong song What a Wonderful World. Rather it is or not I like the song. May you all enjoy the unfolding of Great Spirit and abide in the Way. Peace.

Lone Druid, It’s a scam…yet you keep showing up here? 🤨😊 It’s one of the most courageous acts of life to soften disappointment and cynicism. To keep peeking out from behind the defenses to see if it’s safe to come out yet. Just from my perspective, I’ve seen no danger or scamming going on here. Glad you keep coming back. 🔥🫥⭕️🙏

Funny "parade around". Truth Awakening is the only "job" that you can have where you can't show off. Out loud anyway. Covert only. Don't show off. If you do, you no longer qualify for awakened status. Wait! There is no status. Ha Ha just tossing some light to laugh with. Appreciate you, Susanne.

This isn't philosophy, she is one who is actually enlightened. Only those who are enlightened really understand what the enlightened say. The asleep will always fail to understand because their ego is in the way. Ego hates truth and will do all it can to keep you away from truth.

@@jhoanosorio Nice. Always be open to being wrong, a human who wants to be wrong shall be able to see clearly. Stay neutral no matter the experience, how you feel about any experience or situation or event doesn't matter, it's not about "you", always remember "it's not about me, I don't matter." Always be grateful to the experience, no matter what it is. Truth is just sitting there in the open for any to see, most can't see it due to a mountain of egoic crap sitting on top of it. Yet we put that crap there, so to get to truth, grab your shovel and head into your mind and start digging and uprooting all the shit, don't stop digging, don't stop questioning till you hit something solid...the only solid thing you can ever hit, is truth. And you will realize that truth doesn't come from you or a "you", it's just what is. All have the ability to find truth, most never do because most look externally for truth, it's not external, it's internal. The mind has access to ALL truths. Stay frosty.
