Use the magic cream as a body balm! Elbows, knees and heels will love this. I agree it's a bit thick and heavy but in the summer it's amazing to give the legs a nice moist sheen! I'd mix a dab with a gold pigment and rub on the legs! Don't give up on the cream- it can be used more than one way!

Your makeup is perfection in this video. I completely agree with you about the hourglass mineral veil primer! I am so happy I got a sample instead of buying it because it did not live up to the hype at all for me! I'm with you on the Hourglass primer. It does nothing for me and makes any foundation I apply look horrid. I've actually been loving the YSL Instant Moisture Glow. It's meant to "blur" and it really does. Also makes my skin look plump and hydrated. By the way, you look beautiful, Suzie!

I absolutely love the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer! I got acne prone skin and I've tried quite a few of silicone based primer such as MUFE, Benefit, NYX and all of them broke me out badly :( There might be tons of cheaper and equally good primers but this is the only one that works for me and doesnt break me out due to the better formulation and quality and I noticed that it actually covers up and fills in my large pores around the nose areas:) I got dry cheeks and normal T-zone that might get a little bit shiny at the end of the day so I don't apply it all over the face, instead I only use it on areas where needed.
@Nubianette8 жыл бұрын
I like it too! I have very oily sensitive skin. I like that it has a bit of SPF since my new powder foundation does not have one in it. For me, it's weightless on my face. I use a very thin amount, mostly in the center of my face.

The issue that you're having with the Remarcable foundation, I had a similar issue when it came to the GA Luminous silk foundation! Great video!! I too always find these videos, as well as the comments, super useful. If you've never done so, I HIGHLY recommend Paula's Choice skincare. All of their products are entirely fragrance-free, they are very reasonable cost-wise, & they are truly top notch in re: to ingredients, packaging that protects ingredients (vs just looking fancy), & more. I too have dry skin, though much less so since I've been using mostly their products, & my favorites are their Skin Recovery Toner & their 2% BHA lotion but they also have customer service reps, as well as great online info, that can help you figure our what might work best for you & your skin, preferences, etc.

Funnily enough, one of my most disappointing products was from Chanel - my boyfriend asked what I'd like for Christmas - one of the things I chose was a beautiful blue toned red lipstick from Chanel - the colour is gorgeous, and when I first put it on it looks fab, but it fades so quickly and it doesn't fade nicely - it first fades on the inner part of my bottom lip, and it fades bitty and horrid! I keep trying, I dig it out now and again cos it's such a beautiful colour, and come on, it's Chanel! But it always does the same thing, no matter how I wear it. It also dries my lips out: it's a satin finish so it shouldn't do. My revlon red lipstick is muuuuuuch better - it just goes to show that high end doesn't always mean it's good. So disappointing when you're treating yourself and think you'll be getting the most beautiful lipstick :(

So enjoyed this as you gave excellent details on why /how you don't get along w/products. Some tho I couldn't ascertain the name of the products as us don't believe u actually said the name of a few of the products while talking about why they didn't work. If I missed it somehow then my apologies. I did love how you put still shots of the products! I listened to most of video during an hour drive so I couldn't look down to read or it was gone in my slowness to read it. Maybe those with visual impairments would also like each product verbally noted w/ brand and specific product name -the issue of products not sometimes being named is not a big deal just a thought for future reference Nothing tho deterred the opinion that your disappointing product vids are some of the best since your overall delivery and presentation is so good. Best regards!

I have oilier skin, and I really like the Hourglass mineral veil primer! I actually only use it on and around my nose, and sometimes in the area between my brows, because I get weird dry patches there and the primer smoothes those over. It's definitely not something I'd use all over my face though! And you only need to use the tiniest possible amount, so the smaller size thats like $20 can last a really long time.

I have *extremely* dry skin and I just use the Nivea blue tin cream on my face. I love this thing. I use it day & night even though it is a cream actually meant for elbows and dry areas - well yeah. It can be too greasy if you're not extremely dry, though. I feel like I tell just about anybody about this cream. I tried the more "natural" cold creams but this has mineral oil in it, and I find (for me) this holds in moisture the most! More like any other cream.

Yes, I feel so too; my mom used to use it on me a lot. I have had dry skin since I was a baby, and my doctor recommended sweet almond oil to my mom for it. On top of that she used the Nivea cream - has always worked wonders for me. I am going to be 44 and have used it over all these years. Just wonderful! It is not marketed as a facial cream but I use it that way!

The main thing that I didn't like about the Kiehl's undereye corrector is how unexpectedly watery it is. You need to be really careful squeezing it out as it's so liquid. It is also very quick to set, so you need to work quickly and frankly, I want to take my time in the mornings. I completely agree about the fact that it actually is NOT an eye cream, but perhaps the KZbinrs who have said it's moisturising just have oily undereyes.

For the veil mineral primer, it's one of my favorites, I have EXTREMELY oily skin (thanks mom and dad) but I just apply a light amount and it makes my makeup STAY put, which is a miracle! I had the smashbox primer that everyone raves about but to me that one felt way more goey than this one.
@LiaDuby8 жыл бұрын
I did use stuff like the Porefessional primer for years and experimented a lot within the same type of needs, mind you, I have normal to oily skin. I recently bought a primer that was like hyped years ago and I just didn't get on at the very beginning (tried a sample then) and now I got it to work and it makes all the difference on my face. Its the Bare Minerals Prime Time. I know its not like cheap, but I have a chubby face and, honestly, I get away with a pump and a half. What I do is really work it within my fingers to heath it a bit and put it on. Any foundation than sits like heaven on it. I even tried it on a friend of mine with dry skin and just applied it first on a spoon that I left in the fridge for like 5 min, that way the primer works in term of activating the hydration your skin needs and it does not cake or budge any foundation even then. I do not work for Bare Minerals and I am just a beauty lover, but I suggest you try it, even a sample and try the cool-spoon trick if you have dry skin, you will see the difference.

I've got dolce k and I can say they are so worth the hype. I think it's because they have such unique colour shades that may have a few dupes however the formulas will never be as good.
