I appreciate your documentation and I like the technique of using a different color tubing, which I am glad is an option. I was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure if I had to mark each line somehow.

You've inspired me to change out mine. I'm going to order everything and then in 15 yrs when my kids are grown, maybe I'll have some free time to do it, haha!

Oh c'mon it doesn't take that long. It was a fairly quick job. Do it while kids are at school or just playing in the yard 😀

Tip I heard for getting the hoses off: They're like a Chinese finger trap; they tighten when you pull on them... Better to push them backwards to get them off
@AnythingWheeled Жыл бұрын
I agree, at the time I only understood ape smash and pull. Pushing it forward helps break it's seal for easier removal.

I bought the hose on advise like this (I have 1996 Suzuki every), but I wonder about the necessity to put on pretty blue hoses.
@AnythingWheeled2 жыл бұрын
You can do any color, I got the blue at the time cuz it was the cheapest one.

Thank you for posting this video and your bumper video. Where did you buy the silicone vacuum line? I see in the comments below that you used 3mm and you could use 4-5mm... did you have an issue getting the 3mm installed? (1995 DD51T 4x4, AC)

Hey you're welcome! I got the hose on Amazon. No problem it fit fine and everything worked. I didn't pull one off ahead of time and just guessed what it was when I ordered.
@Vike_12 Жыл бұрын
That hose you found off is just a heat hose for the intake... No actual air is pushed or moved through by the exhaust lol

It was new to me then 😊

How many of these hoses are actually necessary for the engine to run correctly? Im assuming most is for the pollution laws from the time. Are any of these able to just be capped off and not used instead of re-doing the hosing?
@AnythingWheeled Жыл бұрын
I didn't look into what they were. I know in the DOHC F6A found in the Suzuki Cappuccino has a whole EGR system that you would need a plate to block off to delete a bunch of the hoses.

I am considering doing this to my 1996 dd51t 4wd. What year/model is this because the engine is alot Further back on yours compare to mine.
@AnythingWheeled3 жыл бұрын
As I learned recently the 2WD model has the motor sitting back further than the 4x4 models. It must be how they positioned the motor with a transfer case. If your motor sits under the cab and bed it kinda makes this a lot harder than what I had. I don't actually know what it looks like as I've never seen one in person.

Eih! Why did you fast forward, I didn't catch up. Can you please make another video about that. A tutorial with matching diagram.. I see that your truck has the original vaccum hose set up.

Honestly, the way you did it is the only way to go. Sometimes, the diagram stickers are incorrect.
@AnythingWheeled3 жыл бұрын
There is a down side to this since I didn't label them but most of mine were faded and not visible anyways. The diagrams are tricky because you need the diagram for the exact model configuration of your vehicle.

@@terryhites1 it's faster than that but 30 min is realistic. I wasn't in a rush and I was examining stuff along the way. 20ft is perfect with some spare. I bought 15ft and ran out on the last one.

I bought 3mm ID hose, I think 4-5mm would have worked too. There was a frame where you can see the original hose and my new hose. But it's vacuum so it shouldn't matter much. You'll need about 18ft to do this job.
