Suzuki Carry Radio Install

The 2002 Suzuki Carry AM radio is a pretty banging unit but an aftermarket radio will give you FM and bluetooth. Paired with a set of 4" speakers mounted into the dash it's a huge improvement over the tiny single speaker mounted in the factory head unit.

Seems no one is installing double Din head units in Suzuki Carrys, do they fit? Also many install a head unit with integrated speakers so they don't have to worry about adding speakers. Think the sound would be better with at least a pair of 4" like you installed. Getting my 1999 next summer so I'll see what I'll do then 😂

I’ve seen another local one for sale that had a double din installed. It would fit you just lose the little cubby hole underneath of it. The speakers fit perfectly and it was nothing to run the wires. Much more volume and better sound out of the 4” I would think too. Good luck to you, you’ll love that rig. Haha

On my Subaru sambar I replaced the A.M. radio and single speaker with a single din Bluetooth head unit with an 8" touch screen, 2 boss audio speakers in the lower dash, and 2 3-way marine speakers behind the seats held in p!ace with strong magnets. Then I disliked the radio location so much I added an aftermarket radio enclosure over the dashtop tray and moved the radio up to the top of the dash and made a filler panel for the old radio location that I mounted a drink holder to.

Also replaced the stock wiring harness with a wiring harness from a 1990s Subaru outback to make radio changes simple, plus I needed the new harness to incorporate the extra speakers.

4 speakers must have really filled that cab with sound! How did you mount behind the seats, was it an extended cab?
