Thanks I like being able to put it back to factory if you ever sell the bike , I learned a lot of people would sooner buy a bike with no mods than many, myself included.

You are very kind. I've seen guys cut wires, duct tape shit, and on and on. And you are correct, this is the way to do it - if you decide to put it back to "stock" and no-one will ever know you were in there.

Thanks David - that is the intent. I saw many videos where the guy cut the wires & shit - and if "they" wanted to push the "UNDO" button - it would be very hard to do. Must be a newer bike, my 2001 dr650 just has a kickstand light. I put the kickstand down all the time while it's running, all that happens is the kickstand light comes on. That's in gear or out, though I of course put it in neutral before I get off.😏

Why not keep old plug in and cut wires and connect both wires together

Either way - I try and not cut the wires if I can. Making that little "jumper" was easy !!! If needed - I just pull the jumper out & plug them back together...

Couldn't i just disconnect the wires or connect the wires and then solder and shrink

"LARRY" - I am not sure - Sorry for the pathetic reply. I saw one guy cut the wires and completely eliminated the possibility of (simply) "pushing the undo button"... That's why I did it like I did. Your call and worth a try, but hard to mentally "picture" what you mean..... If needed, I can pull the jumper off & simply plug them back together - If that makes sense... Cheers !!!
