If the head gasket was faulty wouldn’t the coolant n the radiator be creamy as well? When the cold snap occurred recently (-5 degrees). I noticed the oil inspection window was creamy too. I replaced the oil and the inspection window cleared up a lot. I rang my local Suzuki dealership and they said it was condensation.

Unfortunately it was a lot more serious. Just bad luck i know next time not to buy from someone whom has used it as a stunt bike

Looks like head gasket 😢 looks like you might need an oil additive to help clean it out even if you strip it and do the broken gasket
@SlickMotoMike Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately so that seems like the case and like you said drop the engine out and do a full gasket replacement and full seal replacements to be on the safe side.

i never saw a case of headgasket failure on a sv650/strom engine...maybe you were really unlucky or something failed at engine assembly. My 2003 sv650 is with 63000km and no sign of any engine fatigue. Many vstrom are over 100000km with same untouched engine.

Unfortunately had some serious problems with this one but I know for future purchases not to buy a motorcycle from whom used as a stunt bike. Yes v-twin engine are indestructible usually

@@SlickMotoMike yes, if someone uses the engine hard should at least change oil and coolent very frequently and always check temperatures...unfortunately, many riders are negligent with their bikes and after a few thousand miles sell the bike and send the problems to another one...i frequently use my bikes motors to the fullest but i am exremelly careful with maintnance which i personally take care and everytime i sell a bike its in better condition than when i bought it used.
