Suzuki GSX-R600 Trackday Bike

Part 1: With track days getting more popular, we decided to see how we could get an affordable track day bike for our newbie rider to give circuit riding a go.
In this episode, we find ourselves a 2015 Suzuki GSX-R600 for the right price and give it a shakedown on the track before working out what we need to do to make it track ready

Sweet project they go really well. As a minimum i usually do the following for a track bike: fairings, crash bungs, engine cover protection, braided hoses and some good brake fluid like rbf600. I wonder if the lever is faulty and not engaging master cylinder correctly or you might need a better master. I used a newer Yamaha one on my old R6 track bike, it was a brembo radial from an R1 i think. Definitely need confidence from your brakes to go fast, that's for sure. I'd leave suspension as is, as you can go plenty fast enough on the stock stuff set for sag correctly. Upgrade when you get good enough to notice a difference.

Got the same bike i sold it, you can see it a bit on my youtube account, i modified it (Engine Stock just a full Arrow exhaust) and it was going better that any stock R6 out there. But i would recommend to "tune" first the Suspension! especially the stock shock in the back is not really made for track riding! Have fun building it, what an awesome bike!

I had an sv650 with those garbage shorty brake levers on it. Kept them on for almost a year but after buying full length levers, I realized how much braking power I was losing. quite the safety hazard!

Braided brake lines and an Accossato CNC master cylinder and those brakes will come to life.

yup factory gsxr master cylinders suck ass, get a brembo rcs19 or a accossato

Suzuki master cylinders suck. A brembo rcs 19 is the way to go.
