I have this same bike and its totally fine also going slow around town. But it will still perform when you wring it out. Suzuki engineered the engine very well. Many supersport bikes as we know dont do well at low speeds. I can cruise on 2 lane rds in 4th or 5th gear no problem. Then drop a gear and still get all the power i want when i want it.

Does it have any issue ? Im looking to buy 600 2011 but idk a lot about suzuki
@worldtraveler86132 жыл бұрын
@@mihaelgx6443 my experience with Suzuki has been very reliable. My first bike was a 98 suzuki katana. Was very reliable, even with carbs. I sold that to go faster and bought a 96 cbr f3 with carbs and that broke down on me in 2 years. Now i have an 06 gsxr 600 and it runs great and its the lightest of all 600cc bikes. And its pretty much the same bike from 06 to now, with only the headlights changing in 08 and again in 2011. But its beautiful so they did good not to change it. And 600s of 10, 15 years ago make the same power of 600s now. They dont develop the engines like they do literbikes. I like 600 supersports cause they are lighter, easier to ride, and more comfortable, while still being plenty fast.

This bike is 420 lbs wet as you cited and 390 with a blinking fuel light as you had it. And it truly feels as light as a Ninja 300 either way. Was looking at getting an R6 but glad I went with this exact model (just a few years newer) as I found one for a great deal and the R6 sellers were asking stupid amounts for theirs. The thing is a dream to ride without the added effort an R6 demands, plus the suspension is truly super in these. Since I take wife and kids on rides on it, it's so much safer and comfortable this way. Something my older CBR600 doesn't offer due to the very stiff suspension. This guy had the catalytic converter removed, so right there it's about 4kg lighter, and since this requires a tune afterwards (or you'd have a FI light on) then I'd assumed it was tuned. He may have also have deleted the SET valve, all worthy mods to this bike.

I wanted to buy a used CBR954R as my first sport bike last year, but could not really find one in my area, then I ended up with the cheapest alternative I could find, just to get by until I get a CBR 954, which turned out to be a 2001 GSX-R600 and I am totally in love with the bike and that engine. Its almost 24 years old, but it runs so buttery smooth and after 8000 RPM it is actually quite powerful. I will run it at least one more year and fix it up over time. Last month I checked the valve clearance, next up is new fork oil and new tires. Then I can corner it a bit more confident next summer. I mostly had single cylinder bikes before and I am really surprised how easy everything is to get to and work on with this bike.

Will never happen. EU is chocking all the manufactures with regulations and they are forced out of profits. This is why you see watered down 600cc bikes like the Aprilia RS 660 come out and maybe soon an Yamaha R7 with an MT07 engine (BOOOORRINNNGGG)

A liter bike is just pointless to have for the streets imo. A 600 is perfect for the street imo. I think when it comes to Sport Bikes, I’m not getting anything bigger, if I would ever get an R1, ZX10r, Pinagale V4 etc… I think it will just be used on the track. Now hyper naked bikes I wouldn’t hesitate to get one of those for the streets.

GSXR 600 is great on the track trust me, but It´ll take a some time getting used to the GSXR, you need to rev it like you try to break it...running same times as my 2012 ZX6R (which is the most powerful 600 i´ve heard) Not really sure that no changes have been made...since the two 2018 I have feels alot more powerful than the 2013 model I used to have. Also I seen differences in the front suspension. would highly recommend putting lowest front sprocket you´ll find since they are really high in gearing from the factory.

Can't decide😕 if to get 600 or 750 gsxr.....
@hodlwise24703 жыл бұрын
If it's you're first bike, get the 600. If you have a little more experience, 750 I guess, depends on price. If you're riding on street primarily, tbh 600 is all you need, it's def not lacking lol.
@joelvela43663 жыл бұрын
@@hodlwise2470 ture and I've heard that the 600 is lighter and handles better than the 750.
@hodlwise24703 жыл бұрын
@@joelvela4366 Yep. If this is your first bike purchase, I also went back and forth to all of the 600s, tbh they're all great choices. Check out these videos on some other 600s, too. Not sure if you've checked out other bikes yet, but they give you some solid info that can help you make a decision. IMO whatever the best price you can find on a used one in good/great condition with as low miles as possible, I'd just go for that, but make sure to give them all some thorough research and listen to what people have to say, especially if they have experience on other bikes and can tell you some pros/cons of 1 bike vs another one. Peep these: Honda CBR600RR kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnq0lpmpia2nhNE kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2PJloePqbZ9ZpI kzbin.info/www/bejne/naLCgoujd7F_l6s kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3eahGurn6h4r68 Kawasaki ZX6R kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6HIfXyQo8p7rNE kzbin.info/www/bejne/l37Fg6uDgtuChNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmGcpIKCqMx9d6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2PJloePqbZ9ZpI kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJLcnWSbjsyXfpo I'm assuming you've seen a lot of GSXR 600 videos as that's prolly you're #1 choice, but don't sleep on these. Honda has the smoothest power band, and probably the most reliable out of them all (they can easily hit 100K miles no problem as long as you take care of it/regular maintenance). The ZX6R is kind of underrated, really dope bike, for sure. They all are lol. I wouldn't consider the R6, it's not ideal for streets and the ZX6R is a faster bike and it's cheaper lol. R6 is basically strictly a track bike, uncomfortable af. That's why I didn't drop links for it lol. Anyway, good luck. Ride safe and make sure you understand the fundamentals before you start riding too fast and hop on public streets and especially the highway. These bikes are very fast and you gotta respect the power. Always remember that there are a lot of incompetent drivers, so when you're riding don't assume that they will drive flawlessly. It doesn't matter how skilled you are, it's all about other drivers being idiots that is the main concern. The 3rd video I linked in the Honda CBR600 section, the dude goes around a blind corner too fast and there was a car going like 1 mph lmao...and he almost hit it. He's a very experienced rider but that was some rookie shit. He was mad at the car but he knew he fuct up. That's the type of shit you have to account for when riding on public streets. I actually left a comment on that video. Read it. It's probably the most recent comment on that video. Ride smart, bro. Have fun when you know the roads and have clear line ahead of you to pull some speed, but don't start doing that shit until you have mastered the fundamentals.

I’ve read that even tho the 750 is not significantly heavier, riders do feel the weight, saying the Gsxr600 is still more nimble? I ride a 600rr now and want to get a gixxer but not sure which one. If the nimbleness is same between 600 vs 750, then if probably get the 750. Need some advice from people that have experience with both. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

I have a gsxr750 and it feels just as nimble at my old cbr600. Not the same exact comparison but I don't notice the extra weight. The extra power is awesome and it still revs to 15.5k
