I have been watching reviews of this moto for a few years and I quite like the front end and fairing. It is a little Angry Bird-ish to be sure but I like it. This particular review is one of my favorites. These guys RODE it at speed and liked it. It's a standard. Standards, to me, are inherently confidence inspiring. They're easier to hang off of because you get greater benefit from just getting your butt off in a deep than having absolute perfectly technical body position. And so you have the confidence to ride at a higher level even if a supersport is gonna have marginally better top performance.

Fine review; smuggles in relevant and informed opinions without collapsing under the weight of detail. Brilliant editing. Among other bikes, over the last 40 years I've owned four new Suzuki's and not one has looked aesthetically pleasing from every angle . . . and some would say from any angle. Face only a mom could love? That may keep a few lingering in the orphanage, but it won't stop everyone from filing the papers. I think the looks of this bike has the same issue the Bandit1250S does. The lines of the bike don't seem to flow well from front to back, but the back looks REALLY good. Also, like the Bandit - I'm just not sure how to fix it. Perhaps if it were more of a modern interpretation of a late 80s GSX-R....they also could have done something to recall the original Hans Muth Katana. The naked version I rode certainly ticked all the boxes from the cockpit, but I think the guys make a good point in the video. If Suzuki would have really done something special with the styling, they may have had the big hit they've wanted (or WE"VE wanted) for a long time now.

I think it’s quite good looking from end to end. I don’t understand the opposition to the shape of the fairing at all, it’s just as attractive as the FJR in every respect. excellent point there. the 7 kilos in the front making it that much more planted. 7 kilos is actually a big no. adds to its front wheel steering stability.
@unbelievabubble8 жыл бұрын
Abhinav Vivekanand without riding it, purely on observation, the comparison was made the F version felt more planted than the naked in front due to the additional 7kg. I would say it's more to do with the added down force of the front fairing design F version, vs the blunt dam front of naked.

after testing it 500km i have to say that, even if it would be pink with a vagina shaped frontlight, i would still admire it. The firework above 8000 rpm is something you will never forget in your life ;)
@Ta3kno7 жыл бұрын
But how is it below 8000 rpm? Let's say for city usage for example, and lower speeds in common. Does it have any grunt below 8000 rpm? I'm coming from a 2014 MT-09 and I am thinking about getting a brand new GSX-S1000 (the naked version of it). I think the stock gearing on the GSX might be a bit too tall especially for the naked version. I mean 145 km/h in first gear on a naked? That doesn't seem right because that would mean you are doing about 100 km/h in first before you even reach that 8000 rpm margin. Maybe a little smaller front sprocket and a bigger rear sprocket would do the job?
@darthvisor92897 жыл бұрын
it has more than enough grunt below 8000rpm, only issue is that it has a snatchy throttle at very low rpms (around 3000rpm) but with a sensitive throttle hand this is not so dramatic. At least test ride it, i am sure you will love it! It is so easy to ride, you can put a beginner on it
@Ta3kno7 жыл бұрын
As an MT-09 user I'm very familiar with a snatchy throttle. However I heard that Suzuki already has a remap fix for the GSX-S1000. You can get it for free from a dealership and I think it is already fixed in 2017 models. By being easy to ride, I hope you don't mean it's a boring bike to ride ^^. As I understand it you will get that super sport rush at 8000 rpm and the bike just pulls and pulls harder. I'm not very experienced in inline fours. I've only had two and three cylinder bikes with a lot of low and mid range torque. The only inline four I've ever ridden was a Yamaha XJ6. It wasn't very powerful for obvious reasons but I did like the butter smooth ride and the sound a lot. It was a gem at the highway but did feel heavier to maneuver than my previous MT-07.

Dude, the key is long as it has to access a recess to be pushed fully home, hence the large fob so extraction is easier. something else which is quite obvious - a large key is less likely to be lost. your criticism of it is at the very least super picky. i have owned a 2018 model for three years now and it is the best bike i have owned.
