I spent 2 years on a gen one busa, and traded in for a 21 plate GSXS 750. Bear with me, I grew up on gsxr 750s, I bought the gen one as a dream bike, amazing, but its to fast. Yes I said it. Its second gear in towns, country lanes, but see a long open , no junctions and no bike in the world compares. Its a deserved legend. Its Busa. Now, I loved wringing my 750s, and the new GSXS at 114bhp is so much fun. Proper street bike, no top end to speak of but up to 100, brilliant and that's all I need. In 98 a gixxer 750 nearly took my life, I was very lucky to survive. The Busa forced me to respect power years later. I'm quite humbled at what any decent cc bike is capable of doing. If your going to give the z1000 another go at it would you try to set the suspension up a bit first. I read it's a much better bike with a little tweaking. Guys with the Olin replacement shock say it's a different world. Not like it's unfair. The other bikes have electronic settings and are much more money.

It reminds me of the Kawasaki. Same look. Same seat. Cartoonish. I think many of us would prefer either more retro or more industrial. That being said, I think it is the sensible way to go on the street. A friend just bought a GSXR and his neck is aching, his hands are aching. Many people buy sport bikes just to feel that power rush, only to realize they are over the speed limit any time they remotely get into that power in any gear. I do like the Zook 1K however. I'd spin it up the highway all the time and give it a run thru carious twisty locations near and far.

We'd say a 'super naked' has superbike levels of power, handling and weight. The B-King doesn't quite fit that mould), it's more of a brutal naked!

Some of these reviewers talk some b******S the throttle/power isn't snatchie and the suspension is absolutely fine, I had one of these as a loan bike then 5 years later decided to get one, the bike is well mannered, easy to ride, the power is quite smooth and sounds great, and when you open it right up its got enough kick to keep most people happy. My only complaint is that I can't find anything worth really complaining about on the bike.

Suzuki was never a design powerhouse, but at least they had some gems in their line-up, mixed with simple but purposeful-looking bikes. Now they're mostly terrible: Gladius (R.I.P. SV650), Inazuma, this GSX-S1000, current V-Strom... The GSR750 looks nice, though completely undesirable, in my opinion. Too bad, they're great bikes for the price.

Most Suzuki bikes especially the modern ones look much better in person than in photos. Being an owner of an Inazuma who used to also consider a Z250, I can testify to that, having also seen the GSR750, V-Strom, Hayabusa etc in person.

I wish Suzuki would make a new version of the GSR 750. It's a nice (cheap-ish) bike but the brakes are just crap and it could lose a bit of weight. And they should stick with an analog tacho.

I'd say the Triumph speed triple for an extra £750 which is one of the best bikes in the class and looks the nicest. Its the more expensive option but still in the same price range (UK pricing) Another option is the Z1000 for an extra £500 which is usually the good looking one of the bunch. I'll admit this current style of Z1000 looks horrific. If I was really out for a Z1000 I would keep an eye out for a late 2012 model if there are any left in show rooms. If Suzuki is your thing then your one of many. They certainly sell well and renowned for their smooth riding characteristics . . . its just the looks that don't do it for me, a bit like Jennifer Lopez . . . Dennis Richards Oh, I see. I had a few bikes but never a Suzuki. Here in the US the Speed Triple is about $5000 more than this Suzuki. I do have a 2014 Daytona 675R (I'm just getting tired of leaning forward constantly) and was thinking about selling that to get the Suzuki but I may wait until April to see what Yamaha is going to bring us with the new MT-10. I agree with you the Speed Triple is an awesome bike that I would probably take or the BMW S1000R which here is the same price as the Speed Triple.

Im not a fan of BMWs. They are great bikes just not a fan of the style. Hand a Suzuki GSX-R600 SRAD a while back. Got rid of it for the same reason as you. Picked myself up an SV650N Gen 1 couple weeks back. really enjoying it and much nicer to ride around town.

Bull crap is doesn’t have sharp breaks, and power! Thing will spin or wheelie to a 100mph without TC what more do you need! Pulls so hard I got a bruise from the G force it puts on my rear! And the breaks are just right you can do stoppies if you like not a lot of pull to do it either with Brembo breaks! So o don’t know where he got that mine works to good!

let's get back to the real world... The engine is from the 2005/6 gsxr I'm puzzled why they had to fetter with the engine TO DE-TUNE IT? While engine capacity and power is being increased Suzuki is going backwards... True o. the roads 150bhp is enough but still Atleast leave the motor stock.. Rightfully said you can compare this bike only with Japanese rivals and not European rivals due to price and high tech parts... Bringing the subject back into play, spend £3000 on this bike and your laughing... shame Suzuki. make damn good engines but mess up everything else...
