Great work on the tuning and R&D! This bike engine is way underrated. The torque these bikes make down low is amazing. A full exhaust and a tune like yours would bring smiles to anyone face.

I'm very curious about the TST intake and am glad to hear you'll be testing with it. I hope to see you try it with just the TST airbox lid alone and THEN with the velocity stacks. The work to remove the entire airbox looks to be a little bit of a PITA. If the performance gains from the velocity stacks aren't particularly impressive, I'd skip them and just use the lid, ALA stage 2. I just now did your stage one mod to the airbox BTW! Love the channel and look forward to when I get an exhaust and one of your flashes.

My stage 2 intake mod is the same as their lid. So ive already tested it :) They also dont sell the lid by itself. Im working on making my version of a lid that you wont have to buy with something else as the gains with it in its own are significant with tuning I think for a street bike the stacks wont turn out to be the best mod but we shall see

@@vcyclenut Fair enough on the testing of the lid. Makes sense. Glad to hear about a lid only option from you too. I'm a little skeptical of the stacks having a big benefit. Maybe I'll have to eat crow on that assumption, but time will tell. Thanks for all the hard work!

@@PedalingDave I like tst and have put a ton of their stuff on my bike but I’m not buying the stacks, you can cut open your own box lid for free and the gains you get from their stacks doesn’t warrant that price. Other than that their stuff is pretty reasonable.

I was in my local dealer yesterday to schedule the first service on my 8S and got to see a silver and a yellow 8R (very nice!). The real shocker was they also had the 8S models marked down to $6999 so nice to see some good deals out there!

This was fantastic! I have been debating between the GSX -8R vs a z900. I really want to hit that sweet spot of a middleweight bike modded and hitting around 90hp with good torque. And this came around. M4 is local company here. I am so glad it sounds great on the bike.

I just cut my stock lid, but dont do the satge 2 without tuning stage 1 which is super easy can be done with the stock ecu

Hello David and thank you for you illustrative work. As an owner of this bike and a very fearful person to get a huge fine for riding without the catalyst, i always wonder how much of a difference there would be with the catalyst installed in, provided that it exists one. There should be for the arrow exhaust at least.

there is one available for the Arrow, In my experience there would be very little change adding it as far as power. A couple pounds more weight, more heat from the exhaust and higher cost Modern catalysts are very efficient as long as they have enough cross sectional area they impede flow very little. Most system like the arrow increase the diameter of the pipe where the catalyst sits so that it matches the flow of the smaller diameter tubing used on the rest of the system BTW if you are interested in the Arrow I include the flash for free with its purchase. I have to ask - whats the best tone in person in your opinion? And i mean for all riding conditions, idle through to highway drone? Microphones can be terrible at picking up real world sound pressures, and generally i like your taste... For example the Arrow i agree sounds lovely, but then you say this is nice as well during this vid, and im left wondering which is the best oit of the whole lot so far? I think sound quality matters as much to me as performance.

Thank you! They were all pretty much the same. The exhaust ports not having studs and having to swing the radiator out of the way is a bit of a pain but not too bad.

Im looking forward to seeing them kick ass in moto american. TST’s dyno runs of the different systems are not very impressive to be honest. I will be testing their velocity stacks next. I havent seen any other part development on the platform but im sure lots of people are working on it now.
