Holy smokes with the gains!! Can’t believe how well this engine responds… 88 whp is coming close to 100 bhp, that’s quite impressive! Thats also more whp and a lot more wtq then the CBR650R’s inline 4 will make with bolt ons and a tune

I got a Vstrom 800 at the end of the season last year and have been waiting to see all the parts/research on this one. Between you and 2Wheelsdynoworks, you guys are killing it with the content on these engines. Thanks for your hard work, you got a sub! Looking forward to modding my Vstrom this year.

Thanks,I appreciate it! My including lots of road testing in my tuning process really advances my tuning results to a different level :). Especially on a bike like the v-strom where strong predictable throttle response is so important !

+1. I've had my VStrom 800de for 6 months and have put just over 6k miles on it. I'm hanging back waiting for tax season and flash development ;) Already have done stage 1 airbox mods, but will def do stage 2 and probably a full Arrow w/ tune! Thanks VCyclenut!!!

Thanks for sharing. is that a mt07 next to the gsx8s?. How do you like it and compares the 8s vs mt07?. Also do you have to tune it with an exhaust?. What happens if not?. I was told flashing/tuning it void the warranty.
@vcyclenut9 ай бұрын
Imo the gsx8 is a nice step up from the mt07 Have to as in will it blow up ? No. Have to as in you will get more gains from the flash than the exhaust and the improvements in enjoyment of the bike is substantial, yes No. It should only void the warranty on the ecu itself. The dealer can not tell if the ecu is flashed and it can always be flashed back to stock if you had a warranty claim

Hi Guys, Ryder from Canada here! They do not allow us to bypass the catalytic converter that’s already on the bike! I love this exhaust, but I don’t see it coming without a full install Is there a way for this to be a slip on ? In the Suzuki GSX8R

What was your mpg change from stock to airbox/exhaust/ecu flash?

I dont track fuel mileage. My tunes are usually pretty efficient because of my street tuning but i dont ride it far enough in a normal type fashion when tuning to track fuel mileage.

Thats what earplugs are for!
@GastonWazeef10 ай бұрын
@@noeserd that's a very egoistic thought. even with earplugs you'll get tinnitus if exposed to such din on a daily basis. and when you ride with such an exhaust in town, do you think everyone is equipped with earplugs? do you really think everyone like the "super cool sound of it"? such noise is a real agression for any form of life, be aware of that. and if it's just to gain 1hp it's definitely not worth it.

@langhamp891210 ай бұрын
To be fair, the motorcycle community has, and always has had, a noise problem which usually makes them intensely disliked among non-motorcyclists. I remember reading 30 years ago about a Yoshimura racing team director mentioning that about half of all aftermarket motorcycle dollars spent were on exhaust systems and that without those dollars there wouldn't be a Yoshimura race team. There's townships in a lot of states, but notably California and Florida, which have passed draconian laws...with actual riders getting their vehicles towed home (not impounded) from an on-the-spot decibel check. And you can't even sell your motorcycle in most countries in western Europe without an inspection. The stock exhaust on the GSX8S is actually quite interesting because it isn't a muffler. 90% or more of the sound deadening occurs inside the catalytic converter; thus removing the CC and leaving everything else makes the bike extremely loud. Thus, putting on an aftermarket muffler with its db killer would make the bike quieter, not louder, if you have already taken off the CC. I'd also be very interested in seeing what's the mostest you can get from the leastest. Say, the aforementioned airbox modification along with a CPU. Otherwise I feel that I could spend the extra money on a different bike that makes 117 hp and weighed 430 pounds (ie Yamaha xsr900) while being completely stock.
