i like the fact that you do 125cc bikes as everyone else avoids them. But these bikes are crucial to getting people onto motorbikes. I do think we are a dying breed, and i worry in 20/30 years from now we wont have motorbikes as we do now. Although i wont be around by then im guessing? i maybe for 20 years, but 30 will be pushing it! I do try to encourage younger riders to get into them but they are told bikes are dangerous and thats it! When i was their age i wanted to ride a motorbike! Now they want to get a car

Hey man, love your content, especially that you cover the smaller capacity bikes, bikes that are often not featured on other channels. Just one thing I would like to mention. Having spent many years on breakdown/accident recovery (now retired) I don't like to see you doing the pre-chat (before the speed test) sat at the side of the roadlike that, with vehicles whizzing past. In my time, I've seen many vehicles taken out by inattentive drivers when they have not noticed a vehicle parked in a similar position to yours when you are sat at the side of the road..... Take care. Oldbaz.

125s got me into motorcycles at the age of 48, my job didn't allow time for getting a license, enter the XSR 125. Two years on I finally managed to squeeze in some time to get my full license and ready to move on to the R3, fast enough for me. I'd really love to keep the 125, it gets fantastic mileage, super cheap to maintain, insure, pay tax for the road, I love it, can't justify having two machines though, bummer. It's great to find myself on this part of the internet, away from the big bike world and next to the non pretentious crowd. For the record, I did two classes on a CB650F the instructors use over here and got my license easy, the 125s are proper motorcycles that teach you all you need to know for safe riding.

I got the new Black and Red 2024 GSX-R125 and I love it. Cost just over £5000 which is pretty steep for a 125cc but there was a deal on and Suzuki knocked off £500 for me so I was happy with that. I do like the Yamaha though, it's faster (Apparently) and looks like a medium sized motorbike as opposed to a 125cc. I can't wait to get a bigger bike once I pass my test. Have some fun on my GSX-R125 without the L plates for a little while (Need to get my moneys worth out of it) and then go for my A2 Licence and get maybe a 500cc Sports bike. 😇 GSX-R125 is an awesome beginner bike though, can't fault it. 👍

@@GillyBikes As you said, the GSXR is a small slimlined motorbike, so it weighs less and that probably factors into why it may be faster than the Yamaha? I think Suzuki say there GSXR 125's have the best Power to Weight Ratio in its class, i'm not entirely sure what that means? I'm not very good with mechanics but i'm guessing that's what makes it the fastest 125?
