I've been lining up the arrow with the line not the T's line when I adjust valves. Just first I've seen lining up arrow with the T.

Took me over the years to learn from gz250bike forum guides to as you crank over that 22mm to get to top dead center hold other hands finger over sparkplug hole and make sure air comes out then I stop at arrow and T line and adjust valves. Before doing that I'd be 50/50 right/wrong adjusting valves.

would you be able to keep the compression tester gauge in the spark plug hole while trying to find compression stroke TDC? Would it give a reading allowing you to know when youre on the right stroke? I know of the finger on the spark plug hole method but not sure thats fool proof.
