Used to have a 2 door soft top... MAN! That thing was a beast.. I didn't really mud it but it was a trail monster! Like an over sized fourwheeler. Thing went anywhere!

not so big not so small, I'm daily driving this car in Bangkok, everything works great.

I had a red one. Nothing stopped that thing in the snow or mud. The locking wheel hubs were the best I’ve seen. Very few all wheel drive vehicles perform as well.

The tires are 235/75R15 which is almost a 29" tire. Unsure of brand. The rear tires rubbed on the inner fender lip under full flex so he had to hit the inside lip in with a hammer to keep them from rubbing. Wheels are 15x7 or 15x8... not sure which one.

They are many different trails at Southington Offroad. Pulling the Toyota out was on Timber Trail. The rest were in the woods above the cliff.

Excelente lección, cuando encontramos surcos hechos por el agua, se busca o procura, que las ruedas vayan por los lomos y no por las zanjas.

It's stock except for air shocks on the rear which brought the rear up about 2" when all the way lifted.

Yes, I do believe low range was used in most of the driving in the video.

Epic as hell.. I've ordered a new one to be arriving any day now. There are so many variants of this car in the world though. Does this sidekick have a low range gear engaged in this video, do you know? Thanks for the video!

The only thing I don't understand is the (2000) Chevy tracker version (I just purchased one) (and I'm looking to off-road It) says it has a factory front air locker that engages when you put it in four-wheel-drive. And it says the rear axle has a limited slip differential so if one tire was off the ground it would still spin the other. Does the Suzuki version not have that? Or will I be disappointed with mine 😢

+Kyle Minnich This Sidekick definitely had open diffs.

I have to laugh. I have a 1996 Sidekick with 245,000 miles that is my daily driver (110 mile round trip to work) and is in no where near as good of shape as the one in this video. I have named her the Oxidized Princess because of all the body rust, and I am extremely gentle in how I drive her. These cars are in my opinion the most under rated vehicles ever. If you maintain them they seem to run forever, even with the fenders flapping in the wind like mine does and at the same time you can abuse them like in this video and they come back for more. I hope Suzuki tries the U.S. market again someday as I most assuredly would be one of the first knocking on the show room door for my next "Princess".
@6thGearGarage6 жыл бұрын
Well said! They just don't make them like they used to.
@100kenman2 жыл бұрын
@@danstrayer111 Unfortunately, the Oxidized Princess has gone on the the great parking lot in the sky. I did replace the timing chain at 145000 miles but only because I put a rebuilt head on and it just seemed like the right thing to do. The car ran like a top when the frame rusted and broke away where the rear springs mounted and I had to scrap her. She had over 300000 miles (295000 and change when the speedometer broke a year before being scrapped). I sure do miss that car

Yes they are the federals and it does not have body lift only the air shocks in the rear as 6th gear said. This thing surprised the shit out of us alllllllll day.

Yeah, it's a good full day of wheeling and it's a safe place with a variety of terrain. If you break down/get stuck, they have rescue vehicles to get you out. Wellsville is the biggest/best offroading in OH, but it's not regulated and if your rig breaks, you stay with it until you find a way to get it out or fix it on the trail.

4x4, open diffs. So I guess you could say 4x2 in the mud - one front wheel and one rear wheel.

How big is your lift?
@6thGearGarage8 жыл бұрын
+Brotherhood Outdoors The only modification to suspension is air shocks on the rear, which add about 2" of lift when inflated.

+6th Gear Garage If I do a 2 inch body and 2 inch coil spring lift can I put 31s under it with 4 inches of total lift?
@6thGearGarage8 жыл бұрын
+Brotherhood Outdoors I don't know too much about modifying these, as this wasn't my vehicle. You'll also have to consider the wheel width & offset and fender clearance.

@civicdictted10 жыл бұрын
lol noob, its definitely a different class of tires, tsl bogger is for extreme offroad cars, and federal tires/dueler/bfg are for hybrid tires, u can use it for daily ride or weekend off road.
