The one-and-only Suzy Menkes, notorious fashion critic and Vogue International Editor, selects her favourite catwalk shows, giving her play-by-play commentary for the infamous Comme des Garçons 'Lumps and Bumps' show, Maison Martin Margiela’s 'Black and White' collection, and Christian Lacroix’s A/W 89 haute couture offering. Featuring rarely seen before runway footage from Comme des Garçons and Margiela, view the interview in full exclusively on SHOWstudio.com
Looking back to an age before social media gave the world access to the fashion show, SHOWstudio's 'Narrated Catwalk' series invites revered fashion journalists to give their front account of three memorable runway moments.

Oh, Suzy (and Showstudio), that was so good. I love your POV: always clear, and non-elitist in the gentle rhythm you bring fashion history in to the conversation, so as I can understand it, and get it completely. X

Suzy is an unsung hero. In a climate of logos printed on t shirts, she represents a piercingly real voice in fashion. A true purveyor of real design.

Just by chance I went to Isetan in Shinjuku Tokyo and Rei Kawakubo was holding a presentation of photographs. Her hea8 wa cut on the bias with a strong blue edge and she easily smiled at us as we looked at the images. Memorable
