@Soft Soul No Suzy Lu didnt know that most characters with red hair are from uzumaki clan. The reason why naruto does not have red hair because he is also the son of Minato Namikaze. But he has surname Uzumaki because 3rd hokage decided to give him that surname. Why 3rd hokage did that is another topic. If you think about it sakura didn't know Naruto's dad was Minato and many people didnt know that.

Karin is an Uzumaki also. So was Nagato (Pain). There used to be a whole village of Uzumaki out there, but they got wiped out because the clan was really good at controlling the tailed beasts.

It really is disappointing how much the meeting of Kushina (Naruto's mother) was underplayed, for namely one aspect; the whole "y'know" thing. In the original japanese, naruto's catchphrase was "dattebayo" which he used constantly throughout the show, probably more so than the english dub's "believe it". Because he says it so often it's kinda second nature to him, and when Kushina got mad and hit naruto she ended her sentence with "dattebane", effectively the feminine version of he saying. It really stuck out to him that she said it, because it's technically not even a real phrase and is exclusively the kind of saying he says. So it was something he inherited from her and served as further proof she really was his mother.

Just so y'know Kushina, Karin and Nagato all come from the Uzumaki clan. The swirl on the back of the leaf village jackets is the Uzumaki clan symbol, all Uzumaki have red hair except naruto and lastly their chakras are strong and have durable life forces.
