SV1000S Throttle Body and Manifold Replacement

A complete walk through for installing replacement throttle bodies on the Suzuki SV1000S. In the process an intake manifold breaks so that installation is covered as well.
SalvageSV is located near Birmingham, AL and rides a modified Suzuki SV1000S. Videos are recorded with GoPro cameras and a Sena microphone.

What the heck causes the throttle body valve gear to strip like that?

It stripped when I attempted to remove the screw. It must have had LocTite or similar on it that's stronger than the plastic gear.

How does stripped throttle body present itself on the move while engine is running?

It presented itself in a few ways. First, idle moved depending on which way the gear jumped. It would idle high or low. Rev matching was also inconsistent. It also made the throttle less responsive.

If you remove them all together and tune accordingly, you will truly have a whole different beast of a bike. Removing the stv together with tre mod has made more of a significant and noticeable difference than any other mod on any other bike I've ever experienced. The stv's in tact make the riders throttle position merely a suggestion and without a doubt was put in place to make the bike less responsive. With just the butterflies unscrewed you will feel an amazing difference and if not or it's too much for you, can always put it right back with just 4 screws and 5min.

to be honest to much unnecessary music in the background so lost interest and moved on. i believe you should concentrate on the subject and not what kind of music you like running in the background. it aint a dating site?
