Svart Crown - An Eternal Descent - Live Sylak Open Air (Fr)

ENG - It is after a longue and tough reflexion that I announce I’m not anymore SVART CROWN permanent drummer.
It is because we failed to make music together that I have to take this decision. My work has been central to the drums and percussions parts of ABREACTION, but this was possible only after lots of fights. In my mind, this album is linked to a great frustration : I listen to it, and I like it, but I think it could have been better if it was shaped by a band, instead of being desired firstly by one man. ABREACTION taste to me like an uncompleted artwork, and SVART CROWN give me the feeling of a missed confluence.
By the past, I’ve refused some opportunities to be a part of others bands, and I haven’t been fully committed to my studies, all of this because I was aspiring to make music with SVART CROWN, and to be a part of the band. Difficulties during touring may had bring us closer, some behaviors could drive us away from each others. After all, I will keep a lot of memories safe in my mind. Nevertheless, if I still enjoy to be on stage with them, I’m not ready anymore to be fully committed to the band, because of the fact I’ve felt an energy to maintain me at the border of the artistic process. Hence, feeling that I’m ready to accept opportunities incompatible with a complete commitment to SVART CROWN, it appeared necessary to me to share this fact with others SVART CROWN members.
As the band has signed with one of the biggest label of the Metal music industry, they are in a difficult road which can lead them to a better status, I’ve waited the right moment to reduce my commitment to the band. Even if I share disagreement with them, I wish them the best. Every band that succeed to attract the interest of such a label has made great efforts and sacrifices in their personal life, and this deserve reward. This is why I will not refuse to help them in the future, if needed, but my commitment has come to its end.

C’est au terme d’une difficile et longue réflexion que j’annonce aujourd’hui que je suis ne suis plus le batteur permanent de SVART CROWN.
C’est parce que nous n’avons pas réussi à faire de la musique ensemble que je dois prendre cette décision. Mon travail a façonné la batterie et les percussions de ABREACTION, mais ceci n’a été possible qu’au terme de nombreux conflits. Cet album m’inspire une grande frustration : je l’écoute, et je l’apprécie, mais il m’apparait comme une œuvre incomplète, qui aurait pu être meilleure s’elle avait été façonnée par un groupe, plutôt que voulu d’abord par un seul homme. ABREACTION me laisse le gout d’une œuvre inachevé, et SVART CROWN le sentiment d’une rencontre ratée.
Par le passé, j’ai refusé de nombreuses opportunités dans d’autres groupes, et j’ai fait passer mes études au second plan parce que j’aspirai à faire de la musique avec SVART CROWN, et à faire partie du groupe. Des difficultés en tournée ont pu nous rapprocher, des comportements nous éloigner… En fin de compte, de nombreuses expériences resteront à l’abri dans ma mémoire. Cependant, si j’apprécie toujours monter sur scène avec SVART CROWN, il m’apparait impossible de continuer à m’investir dans le groupe, du fait que j’ai senti une énergie pour me mettre en marge du processus artistique. Réalisant que je suis prêt à accepter des opportunités incompatibles avec un investissement complet dans SVART CROWN, il m’a semblé nécessaire de partager ce constat avec les autres membres du groupe.
Le groupe ayant signé avec un des plus gros label de musique Metal, et étant ainsi dans une difficile période de transition pouvant le mener vers un meilleur statut, j’ai attendu le bon moment pour réduire mon investissement dans le groupe. Si je partage des désaccords avec eux, je leur souhaite la meilleure des réussites. Tout groupe qui parvient à attirer l’attention d'un tel label a fait efforts et sacrifices personnels qui méritent récompense. C’est pourquoi je ne refuserai pas d’aider SVART CROWN, si besoin est, à l’avenir, mais mon plein investissement dans ce groupe a pris fin.

Sad news for Svart Crown as your style behind the drum is part of what i love in this band. But good news for you, what really matters is what you really feel inside, and when we read your finding, we can feel that you took the right decision right away. It's not an easy decision but i wish you the best , and i'm impatient to see what you deserve for us. Cheers man !

Abreaction has been my favorite release of the entire year, devastated to hear you won't be a part of the band anymore. However it is important to make choices that will make you happy and I appreciate your complete honesty with your fans instead of leaving us in the dark wondering what went wrong. I know you'll continue to do great things with your talent and I can't wait to see where life takes you next!

Amazing and incredible performance. One of the best performances of 'one song' I've seen in awhile. They are an awesome band and I loved the record, and it's a shame that you weren't satisfied but it's their loss cause you're an incredible drummer and you have already established endorsements and parts with well established bands in a very short time. I look around at the other young drummers and a lot haven't comparatively been at the same level; not saying they won't or can't but you've worked f***ing hard and better to be in a band where you're not just reduced to an ancillary role. I would rather keep my integrity and standards then sell out just so I could be on a big label but hate being there. Hopefully see you live in the future and you're one of my favorite extreme metal drummers. Thanks and good luck! :)
