For as much polish this game was lacking, the pixel art is still some damn fine quality, SNK always delivered in that department.

Kind of a shame that if you’re just playing the game normally, you wouldn’t even be aware these endings exists because if you fail to meet the criteria on the way to Mr Karate/Akuma (which is likely given this is an SNK game), you get the bad ending automatically and if you lose to Athena/Firebrand, you’re given the Alpha 3 Bison treatment

For a while I thought Akuma's ending were mixed up, if you defeat Athena you go rock bottom and vice versa

When you defeat Red Arremer, it makes NO sense for God to appear in Hell, it should have been Astaroth appearing instead of God, saying something like, “So my minion Red Arremer has been defeated, I can grant you your wish, now leave before I devour your soul!”

What exactly determines whether you fight Red Arremer or Athena? Is it random or do they each have seperate requirements?

To fight arremer u gotta get 5 perfects with super attack finishes on of them has to b with block damage and finish akuma or Mr karate with super To fight Athena it's the same but no wins with chip damage

You need complete certain conditions to fight one or the other. For Athena - don't lose a round (if you lose a round, just lose a match and restart it) and defeat 5 enemies by Super Exceed move. For Areemer - don't lose a round (if you lose a round, just lose a match and restart it) and defeat 5 enemies by Super Exceed move, while enemies are holding block.

You have to not lose a single round before round 8 and complete a second criteria, which is different depending on the boss. Upon beating Shin Akuma or Serious Mr. Karate, if you completed all of the criteria, you will be challenged by either Princess Athena (criteria requires that you can’t win any rounds through chip damage) or Red Arremer (criteria requires that you win at least 1 round through chip damage). You only get 1 chance with these fights, so losing these fights gives you the bad ending. Beating either Athena or Red Arremer will give you the good ending for your selected character All information was taken from the SNK Wiki page for this game

Bollox,this doesn't work.i can't believe there's no endings.everyone is going on about this game been awesome but they fail to mention that there is no endings,and if there is, then no one has an excact explanation of what to do.plus when u continue no one tells u that u only have 4 fucking continues,and what is a b c d on a PS4 pad when u continue.you jusy have to fucking guess.@@thewilluigibigmak

Very good the art of fighting endings are always legendary mai personal fav the serious Mr karate he should be the final boss for the up and coming garou & art of fighting 4 👺blue hahoshokohken💪

Look on youtube right now and no one has an excact expanation and playthrough eith what you have to do to get the secret bosses.i have done everything people are saying and theres no fucking bosses on the ps fucking 4 version.its reallly weird that no one has an expanation how to do it on ps4 while playing it at the same time.

The point is that all the fighters are dead and seem to be stuck in purgatory. That is why the stages look like in ruins or abandoned. The game itself does not provide any backstory about it, but there is a manwha that does.
